Hi, I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend. I surely did. Saturday was Maggie's first dance recital. She did wonderful during her dance, and then at the end, she was blowing kisses, and bowing. The other girls were just content to be led off stage. It was great. I guess you never know what the three year-olds are going to do.  Sunday we drove down to Santa's Lodge, in Santa Claus, Indiana. We went swimming and stayed the night there, and then first thing in the morning Monday, we were at Holiday World. We had a good time. Mikey even rode the Raven with me, and little Maggie went on some of the bigger rides too, like to octopus and the scrambler (or whatever they call them there!) I think everyone's favorite ride was the raging rapids ride. Mikey insisted on going on that over and over. I think we logged five trips on it! Linda Vicory

Good morning everyone! Linda,  glad you all had a good time at Holiday World. We're heading down there on June 8th and will be staying at Camp Reindeer. We're bringing our grandson there.

We spent the weekend getting the RV ready. We're about there! Woo-hoo! We also got the reservations in for Cedar Point...although later than we had hoped (end of August). Hopefully, we'll get some more of the reservations set up today. Well..time for breakfast! You all have a terrific day! Sherri ps..Ellen...did you survive the weekend?

Hey and Hello Everyone, Back from my vacation in Georgia. Came home Sunday evening. Took me just about all day yesterday to catch up with everything on the nets, hahaha. Met most of Matt's family and watched his niece graduate from high school. It was a really good time. The weather was absolutely perfect the entire time. The ride was a little rough because I didn't hed my OB's advice and walk at least 15 minutes every two hours. Needless to say my hips were hurting me so bad after that 7 hour drive down there. However, on the way back I made sure to do my walking and follow orders so the ride home was much much less physically taxing on me. Had a family cookout yesterday. Got to see my brother. Gave him copies of some old family pics that had our dad in them. I love my brother more then I ever have, even when he's being an a$$. Probably because for once in my life I can relate to his emotions and the intensity of them because of missing dad. Gage's cousin and aunt are wanting to host a baby shower for me. It will probably be more then likely the second weekend in Aug. That would be Aug 11th. I'd really like my WLS family to be there. So if you'd like an invitation plz email me or pm me your snail addy's so I can make sure to get those address to them in time. I understand that it's a drive from Indy (and further as some of you are) to here in Crawfordsville but if you'd like to come or are just interested in an invite incase you make a last minute choice to come, just let me know. Anyways, - I'll be slightly busy this week. With just getting home from the week long trip from Georgia I now have to unpack, do laundry and re pack for this weekend's getaway. We leave really really early for Terra Haute for the Special Olympics State Summer Games on Friday. It's a whole weekend event. Extremly awesome. Gage will be swimming. He'll do a 25 meter Freestyle on Friday and a 50 meter Backstroke and a 50 meter Freestyle on Saturday. Wish him good luck and some cheering on. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday. Jodi

I don't know if that's the "the date" it's one of several dates we discussed. However, I might say something about some of the alternative dates because I'd like to attend the camping trip if I'm physical able too.
As for themes we.... well mostly just me, hahaha .... I'm all about Winnie the Pooh. Classic pooh, baby poohs, heck - anything winnie the pooh and family I'm into.

Hi Everyone,

Whew- the weekend is over- graduation was wonderful- gotta  say I'm a proud Grammy!!.It was so good to have my girls together, and just spend time laughing, reminicing and playing canasta- it is a "tradition" to beat Mom-hee~hee!  Love just goofing off together~before my WLS it was time wasted- food fogs, and the grumpies usually got to me- and they didn't like that person so much.  We had alot of quality time together- since Penny is moving away to Fla. next week and Wendy lives in Minn. these times are getting fewer & farther away.  We decided a few yrs. ago to say "goodnight, see ya later" the night before they leave, so it is never goodbye. Ok, enough of that before I end up a cry baby!!! After going to the cemetary to honor Dana's Grandpa & Step-Dad we ended up going to see  "Pirtates of the Carribean 3"- oh WOW!!!!We laughed, teared up, and both said we'd go see it again, it was soooo good!!! Then ended up at Denny's for supper & took a long walk afterwards. All in all, a good Memorial Day. Jo, send me an invite- I'm going to pm. you my address. I don't know if I'll be around or not, but I'm not too far from C'ville ya know. I already have alittle something for Quinntin- did I tell you our grandsons name is Quintin Tucker? We call him QT or Tucker alot. Gotta love that name!  It sounds like you had a great time away. Good luck to Gage this weekend, and you be sure to rest ,walk, drink plenty of fluids,"K?! Ok, enough "Mom-Grammy" talk. Have a great day everyone- off  to the grocery store for me- my cabinets are bare. (((hugs))) Ellen

Hi everyone!  I was camping this weekend.  It was OK, although way too crowded.  And I did really want camping food.  I would've killed for a hotdog.  Or one of the shishkabob's the neighbors were making.  Yumm.  Maybe next time.  I managed to get through it OK.  No swimming in the lake though, as I still haven't been cleared to take tub baths.  Oh well.  I did do some hiking, so that was nice, although REALLY hot.  I keep waiting to be freezing like a lot of WLS patients say they are, but it hasn't hit me yet! LOL. Today is my first day back to work, and I also had my first ever dumping experience on the way to work.  It was awful.  OMG.  As soon as I signed it I ran to the bathroom and sat there and sweated on the toilet for 45 minutes.  Seriously.  And I didn't even eat anything bad!  I posted about it on the RNY board, and they think I drank my 1/2 protein bullet too fast.  That and oatmeal was all I had.  I was torn about dumping.  I sort of thought it would be best if I got it, but I really really hoped I wouldn't.  Guess now I know the answer to that one.  It couldn't have been anything else.  I've never sweated so much in such a short period of time before, I thought I was going to vomit and I wouldn't say I had diarrhea exactly, but it was pretty soft and more than I've gone in the last two weeks put together.  Icky.  Sorry for the TMI.  I never want to do that again!! Otherwise, I'm having an OK day back to work.  One person who knew I was having the surgery said she could tell I've lost weight already, and one person who knew I had surgery but didn't know what kind asked me if I was losing weight.  And one person who may have heard rumors about me having surgery but probably heard the boob job rumors said he thought I looked different, but didn't know what it was.  I just shrugged. Hope everyone else had a great holiday weekend. ttfn, Kim

What an eventful weekend!!!  My family and I had to sit through two teeth biting games (in the rain) for my sons soccer tournament.  They came in first but it made us VERY late getting to the campground.  We decided to take our golf cart and I ended up getting it stuck on the trailer ramp because my vehicle was at a weird angle.  After cursing and throwing a little fit (and my daughter offering to pick the trailer up to help----mind you she is 11 1/2 and as big around as a straw) we finally got the cart off.  We had a good time in between the rain.  Though we did manage to take the golf cart down a country road and drive into Colfax.  The kids rode their bikes ahead of us.  Well, we just turned around to head back to the campground when it started to pour down rain. We loaded up the bikes and all four of us managed to sqeeze ourselves into the bench seat that is suppose to hold two people.  We laughed, drinched with rain, the entire way back to the campground.  All in all it was a pretty fun time, in spite of the rain.  Oh the memories that we collected on this trip!! Sherri: May I suggest an umbrella when packing your rv stuff :)     You will need it at one time or another

This is a day that the Lord has made....let's rejoice and be glad in it!
