It's Friday!!!

I know, it's suppose to rain, but the plants need it so YEAH!!! I guess I got up in a silly mood. Bill & I went over the calendar last night and have some dates down now for some of the stuff we want to do this summer. My, it's gonna be a busy one..love it! I did call and reserve our spot for the Indiana OH Camp Out! Did you???? Bill is calling this morning to reserve a Cedar Point spot...plus some other calls. It's is going to be Amusement Park fun! On our list of 'places to go' we had: Cedar Point, 6 Flags, Indiana Beach, King's Island, Holiday World (with Chance), and Fun Spot (with Chance & Myranda). Beside these, we also have down: IN OH Camp Out, Nashville IN, Speedrome Race Track (not camping there..lol), we've even talked about maybe going down by French Lick some weekend. We don't have definate dates down yet.  As we get dates set for places to go, we're putting them in Bill's Yahoo Calendar. If you think you'd like to go the same time we are and hand out together, let me know and I'll send you the link to Bill's Calendar so you can see if any of the dates would work for you. Other than Cedar Point & 6 Flags, we are planning most of these to where we would leave Indy Friday afternoon and return on Sunday afternoon. Most of the dates we are flexible about right now...but as we get camp ground reservations set-up, it'd be harder to change them (Floyd & Brenda...did you guys see to where any date would work best for Nashville?). So..I have PT this morning. This will really be the first session since the last time was spent with her doing a bunch of measurements and then telling me what exercises to do at home. That's at 10:30. Then I'll be leaving at 1:15 to head for my GYN follow-up. Oh joy! But....I'll be off till Tuesday so YEAH! YEAH!!

Ugh..next week, on Wednesday is COURT! I will be SO glad to get that over with!! THAT is the day I would love for it to rain...storm...etc!! I know! I 'should' be ashamed of myself! LOL! Well..you all have a great day. If you go out of town for Memorial Day, drive safe! We're pending it getting the RV travel ready. In other words, CLEANING!!! I haven't really cleaned it since we bought it last fall so I know be busy! Hmmm...I think I'll slip on my MP3 and Jam it!

Sherri, Sounds like you have a full summer planned.  I checked the concert schedule for Little Nashville last night, but the summer schedule isn't published yet.  Any weekend you pick should be pretty good for us.  Some of your other spots sound great too.

Because Monday is a holiday, they have given us one hour off today.  It's like a big deal when we get to leave work one hour early.  The little joys in life...LOL.  I'm taking my truck in for some repairs this afternoon.  I took it to one shop this week that I wasn't very happy with, so today I'm taking it to Betsy's husband.  We met her at the January clothing exchange.

We're going to stay home cleaning around the house too.  We're going to Nashville TN in just over a week and having company the following weekend.  Need to get the guest room fixed up.  There's still lots of boxes to unpack.  Unpacking is a forever job. 

I hope we get some rain this weekend.  We planted our garden last weekend and it could use a good soaking.

Hello,  The swimming party would probably be from 11:00-3:00 or so.  I LOVE Collin Raye!  I'd be interested in going.  Besides, if you are at my house, you are only 30min from Nashvillle. Tania

Tania, We'll have to wait and see...because if I were at your house, I also wouldn't be in Nashville shopping and window shopping. And that is the main purpose for me & Bill wanting to go to Nashville. We were  going to rv camp there Friday night, Shop Saturday, camp that night & head home on Sunday. So...gonna have to do some thinking to see how we can squeeze it all in! Sherri

Hi Sherri.  Good morning All. It sounds like you are going to have a terrific summer Sherri.  We are going to Whitewater State Park the first full week of June and renting a cabin.  The kids are really looking forward to it.  We did it once before and they had a blast (inspite of no TV or video games!  )   My husband and son both enjoy the fishing and even my daughter likes in short intervals (mom prefers to read a book  ) We hope to go to Holiday World one weekend this summer too.  We haven't been there in a while.  We always enjoy the water park the best.  The water park is something we can do as a family since my husband doesn't enjoy the rides.  However, this year I'll be able to ride the roller coasters with my son again!  I'm looking forward to that! We have a fairly busy weekend planned, so long as we don't get rained out.  We have a pool party to go to up in Kokomo with my husband's cousin and we are planning a cookout at a local park for Monday, so I'm hoping the rain only comes at night.  That way Sherri's flowers will get the water, but we can all still enjoy our plans. Okay, I admit it, I'm a lurker.  I have just started to post on the boards yesterday.  I enjoy reading what all of you have to say. My day is going well.  Looking forward to the weekend with the normal weekend chores, but also my daughter in law and I are throwing a surprise party for my son at Heartland Camping Resort in Greenfield on Sunday afternoon.  My "baby" is 38 now.  Sure makes me feel old, although since WLS I have more energy than I ever did before.  Because he is a firefighter, I went to the party supply house yesterday and got all the kiddie stuff they had to decorate his cake and our camping area in a fireman theme.  It should be a blast. wow, sounds like you'll have a great summer.  We won't be going far this summer but in the fall we are going back to Gatlinburg for a week.  I'd also like to go for a weekend to French Lick. We stayed at the resort a few years ago before they made all the improvements.  The rooms are expensive now but I want to stay either at French Lick or West Baden.  That place was cool before the improvements and I can't wait to see it now.  Plus, I can't wait to hit the casino.  I'm so glad it is raining today.  I played farmer Wednesday.  Our front pasture was noting but weeds so we disked it up and I ran a roto tiller over it. Then we seeded and fertilized it.  The ground was so dry and hard.  I was in a cloud of dust most of the day.  I looked like pigpen from the snoopy cartoon. It was 90degrees, I had on a sleeveless top and no hat and no sunscreen on a tractor for 4 hours.  Think I got sunburned? Nope, Must have been to much dust for the sun to get through.  Anyway, it cost about 900 to do a 2 acre pasture.  It better rain and grow.  Where is the Fun Spot you are going to?  I know there is one up by Angola.  Is that the one?  There is a nice camp ground at Pokagon State park close to it.  I'll have to look you up when you go there if it is.  It is just a few miles up the road.  Keep a positive attitude for court. You know you are right.  I know you'll just be glad to have it done with though. Well I'm at work and people just keep comming in.  My work is piling up. (who told them I wanted to work today anyway) I'll check back later.  Have a good day all.

Jan, Fun Spot is up in/near Angola so must be the same one. Do you know if there is any type of shuttle service to go between Pokagon State Park & Fun Spot? We hate the idea of having to unhook up in the mornings and rehook up at night..but will do that if that's what we need to do. Sherri
