Good morning everyone!   I hope today has started off good for each of you. My day is ok (hey...I'm at work, so not gonna say 'great', k?).

Yesterday was just so much fun! Chance was quite a little man getting his 'graduation' certificate. I really have to hand it to anyone who is willing to devote their life to being with 15-20 kindergarteners every day! The afternoon at the park was great too. Bill & I are wanting to take a trip to Nashville, IN sometime this summer...a long weekend maybe. We wanted to go down in the RV but there's a catch. Nashville has NO public transportation of any kind. No buses. No taxi's. Our RV is a motorhome, not 5th wheel, so it's not like we can just disconnect and take our pull truck to town. Parking is at a premium downtown so we know there would be no where to park the motorhome that is within walking distance of the shops. So....we are hoping that we can run accross another couple who enjoys Nashvile (& Nashville SHOPPING!!) like we do, who has a 5th wheel, and who wouldn't mind us riding into town & back with them. Let me know if you're out there and maybe we can get a date lined up to go...k? I'm sorry to read about the denials lately. It seems like we go through  rash of them, then we get a bunch of approvals..huh? The insurance companies are very picky on what they will/won't accept. Who can blame them really? The surgery ONLY costs ~$20,000 and up. So...be sure to find out EXACTLY what they want....then give them that & more. If denied, find out why, see if you can supply what they say is lacking, then appeal. Ask your pcp/surgeon's assistance. You all have a terrific day! Sherri

Hello, Happy Thursday to all! My eyes seem to be healing up pretty well from the lasik. I can see! WooHoo! I am so glad I decided to go through with it.  Yesterday was my son Mike's riding lesson. He did really good. He was off the lead for about half the lesson, riding the horse on his own. Tonight is my lesson. I love going on Thursdays and seeing the horse, and riding.  Saturday is my daughter Maggie's first dance recital. I think it's going to be awfully cute. My family is coming to Terre Haute from Hammond to see it. My inlaws wil lbe there too, and so will our daycare lady.  Then on Monday we're taking the kids to HOliday World. I can't wait. I haven't been there in a couple of years.  Linda Vicory

Good Morning everyone!  And what a beautiful day it is.  I'm not doing so well on my food choices ;(  I hope to get back into the swing of things.  I don't know why I'm craving all the bad stuff this week and it's all sugar stuff   Prior to surgery I hardly ate sweet stuff, now I'm craving it and I can't stay away.  Give me a boost guys.  I'm down 33lbs since the surgery, and I still have 50 to go. My oldest boy graduated from Kindergarten Tuesday night.  It was so cute.  They sang patriotic songs.  Boy if that didn't make me bawl, them parading in to Pomp and Cir****tance in their caps and gowns did!!!!  They also recited all of the Presidents of the United States and all of the states in order!!  Wow---------I don't even know all the presidents.  I was so proud of him.  Then when he had to go to the microphone he said "When I grow up I want to be a fire fighter"  ---Huh.  News to me, LOL. Not sure what I'm going to do with the kids all weekend.  I have to come up with something.  Idle kids equals trouble. The kittens are doing really well.  I still haven't figured out how to get a picture into my post, but if anyone wants to see them just PM me and I'll send you pictures.  My new kitten (future show girl and Queen) is going really well.  I had a little problem with her urinating inappropriately, then I figured out she had a major urinary tract infection.  Poor kitty. Hi all!  I'm still hanging in there with the liquid diet, but starting to really really get sick of it! LOL.  Head hunger is bugging me out.  Yesterday I went to see my oldest DD in a 1st grade school play about the water cycle.  She played a drop of ocean water.  Very cute.  After that she begged me to take her home instead of her going to daycare, so I figured what the heck and drug her with me to support group at St. V's.  She was bored out of her little mind, and then mean ol' mommy made her eat dinner in the cafeteria and go to the newbie support group.  I think I cured her of ever wanting to go with me again!  Today so far, I've done a walk and am getting ready to go to a school picnic (so busy this last week of school!!) and then after that I might make a goodwill run as everything I own is either too big or still too small and I'm going back to work next week. This weekend is the big camping trip.  I hope camping is still fun while on full liquids and no hotdogs or smores or anything like that.  Sigh. Hope everyone is having a great day!! Kim

i'm Back.... We were redoing the computer room and our internet was out of service.  I don't know how I lived with the internet before it was ridiculous not having it.. I can't wawit to catch up with everything.... it's beautiful outside and I can't wait til the pool opens on Saturday.... Hi Everyone, Yesturday I finally broke down and called the Dr. (thanks to my dear Sis Sherri) and found out that I have a ulcer. They have put me on Carafate-4 times a day. YUCK~ but if it helps I'll gladly do it!I got the biggest alugh- I called my daughter thats pg. with twins and told her- "Mom's having a baby too-a baby ulcer" and she went crazy- "WHAT??? No way Mom, you can't possibly have a baby!!!"She thought I said "I'm having a baby-also"- OMG- never in this lifetime- after all, that's been taken care of since I was 23 & thats been a "few" years-so we had a huge laugh!!!!Gotta say, I still have a warped sense of humor!!  Going to get things ready for the graduation Sat. and prepare the camper for our kids from Minn. to stay in it while here- our spare room is in deconstruction, and grandson has the other one, so they get a place of their own while here. I  did get to Cutting Edge Nutrition and got the Shake-a-Way -YUM!!! It is so much simpler and better than what I've been doing, and it will be easier to take on our extended trips. Thanks to Sherri's taste test, I am making her Moca Java & I am trying the vanilla latte- decaf coffee & vanilla shake mix- really good! Off to get my hair cut, so have a great day everyone. It's obvious!!!  You need to go to REAL Nashville!!!  They have taxi's, better shopping, and better music!!!

Maybe we all need a girls' trip to Nashville, TN....

I'm REAL sure Bill would love that...not. He may not spend $ like I do shopping but I think he enjoys window shopping in Nashville. We went there on our 2nd anniversary and it was just so nice & quaint that we fell in love with it. We had stayed in a cabin that time though so public transportation wasn't an issue.

Both Nashville's are great.  Brenda and I are headed to Nashville, TN in just over a week.  Unfortunately it's only for three days, but it will still be great. We love going to Nashville, Indiana too.  The music there is great too.  Been there several times to see Trick Pony, Blake Shelton, and Darrell Worley.  I agree with Sherri that the shopping is great.  We discover new shops every time we go there.
