Tuesday...

Mel, Great pic! I wish you felt as good as you look! I am wondering if maybe you are starting up with some KBS (kinky bowel syndrome). If that is suspected, they'll do a cat scan although a cat will only pick it up if you are having the pain right when they are scanning. It didn't pick mine up. Thank goodness Dr. Gupta decided to go ahead and check. I don't remember the belching...just the pain. Mine liked to wake me up in the middle of the night and depending on which hernia it was decided the type of pain I had....short and swift, long and lingering, or like a muscle cramp (I had 3 kinks plus a blockage caused by scar tissue). If your bowels are kinking up though (internal hernia) it won't let the gas pass downward, so it'd have to go upward. I didn't have an upper GI with it. With my perforations though, I did have to drink some of that yummy gunk. It wasn't very much (a few ounces) and I don't remember it being nearly as horrible as when I had my pre-op testing done. I'm glad you are happier with the new company. Is Bloomington closer home-wise for you? I have 7 more years till 80 points so I'm starting to consider what career would be more useful post-Lilly (after I retire). Sherri
