Tuesday...
Good morning everyone!
We had such a wonderful time yesterday for Myranda's birthday. I think that 3 year old got about everything 'Dora' you could think of! Well..that which she didn't already get for Christmas anyway! The grandchildren all enjoyed the park. The kids all enjoyed the park. Even Bill's 82 yr old mother enjoyed a few minutes on a swing! I think when you have little ones at home, it's easy to get so caught up in the everyday chores of living that you sometimes miss out on those little pleasures. That's why I had suggested Myranda's party being at a park...so that the parents as well as the little ones had a chance for some fresh air fun! So...you all who have little ones...be sure you schedule some down time at the park with your kids! Just think...they'll sleep better that night!
Hmmm...maybe that is why I am still so tired this morning???? I'm suppose to be working on a report...I feel like working on a nap!
I find out this afternoon if my foot is fractured or if it has inflamation up in the bone. I went for the MRI's last Friday. It's ONLY been 14 months since we first suspected it was broke (from a 70 lb suitcase rolling over it!). If it's fractured, it's back into the walking boot. If it's inflamed, physical therapy...and that makes me nervous since the last time, it caused a 2nd tendon on each foot to go out. We'll see. All I know is that I want it to be OK so I can walk again!!!
You all have a terrific day today!

Good morning- we were typing at the same time! LOL!! Great minds think alike!!!
I am so jealous, the park sounds so good right now, good for Bills mom to get out and enjoy the swing! I am so ready!
Sorry to hear about your foot, keep me posted! Hope everything turns out to be okay, and that you are back to doing all those steps!
I read your earlier post about the crab legs---mmmmm- that was so good, I am looking forward to going there again! Is that where you went, this time? Thanks so much for the treat, it was awesome, and we enjoyed it! You and Bill as well as so many have been such a great support and graet friends through all of my turmoil, thanks again for everything that you have done, it is so appreciated, how I will ever repy you or anyone else for that matter is beyond me! Please know that I am so grateful and proud to have you in my life and in my journey! You and all of my Oh family that have shown their support throughout have helped me tremendously not only with their donation of ???? but just their thoughts and kindness have been so meaningful, as you know I have been brought to tears many times- even my husband, and he rarely shows it. THANKS SO MUCH!!!
Hope you have a great day- I am hoping to be COOL somehow someway, but right now that ain't happening!
Have a great day! Hugz Dawn
Yummy, Those crab legs do sound good. This afternoon Andy and I are having Shrimp and pineapples on the grill. I put them on skewers and we grill them with butter and garlic on them.
I wish I had some zuccinni to have with it but I dont. We just love grilling out. We probably do it 3 or 4 times a week. If Andy didnt work such long hrs we would probably do it more. We have a portable gas grill that we keep in one of the convertables and we go to the lake and the park with it....we use it more than the big one in the back yard....just becouse we love eating and relaxing by the water after we are done eating. Then are able to enjoy all the animals too
We are lucky to be near several wonderful parks(3) here in Richmond and then several lakes within 40 mins or so. We got to Houston Woods in OH, Whitewater State park in Liberty, IN and Brookville Lake near Brookville IN.
Im on a mission to find some wonderful parks near our new house so If anyone knows of any near Greenfield or Knightstown please email me about them.
Thanks
Oh my goodness, pineapple shrimp water outside, ugh I am envious. You sure are enjoying yourself, I am so happy for you for that! Your pasttimes seems to be so rewarding! i look forward to getting out and enjoying some of your exciting adventures! Taking a small grill to the water and relaxation sounds gREAT to me!
Hope you are having a great day! Hugz Dawn
Dawn Its a huge change for me to. For the last 10 yrs I was to fat to even breath. I kept myself held up in my house so no one would see me or make fun of me. Now my life is so different being 170 lbs smaller. IM LIVING AGAIN.
I hope things get better for you really soon to. If you ever want to get away from Indy for an afternoon. Let me know and I'll cook u lunch or dinner on the grill.
Dawn,
Yep! We went to the same place. I just love it there. The owner asked why we were by ourselves this time!! LOL!!!! I think Ellen & Dana may be coming down Friday or Saturday. Maybe they, you & Mark (if you feel up to it by then), and who-ever else who would like to, could meet us there. Say....6 pm? It's on Pendleton Pike (NE Indy) in Esquire Square between Franklin & Post (south side of the road). It's called New Century Buffet (Oriental). If anyone would like to join us, let me know and we'll make sure we get a big enough table(s). With drinks, it's ~$10/person. Since I'm 2.5 yrs post-op, I don't ask for a discount for being post-op so I don't know if they do or not.

ps...I'm jealous! I'm sitting here freezing my butt off at my desk!
Too bad we can't bottle some of our air temperatures up and trade- my goodness I would be glad to be chilly, I am literally dripping, it is gross! All I did was boil some brussell sprouts and added cheese and I am so hot! keep cool for me, although that does you no good!
Dinner sounds great, let us know and I will see if that can happen. Have to make sure I am able to take it easy before then so I can go and be able to sit and enjoy everyone and the crab legs!
Talk to ya soon, hugz Dawn
Sorry to hear about your poor little foot. If it's not one thing, it's another with you!!! I thought I told you that I left our workplace. I am at a different company in Bloomington and so, so, so much happier.
I have a question--I have terrible gas pains in my upper abdomen and belching. No gall bladder issues. I have the pains whether I eat or drink or not. If I drink water, if I drink milk, if I drink caf-free Dew, it I eat meat, if I eat, veggies, anything.
I have to have an upper GI soon. Has anyone had one since RNY? I know modifications are made...
