Sunday...
Good morning everyone! Today is suppose to be a pretty day with the highs in the lower 70's!
I'm fixing to pick up Jay (my son) and he's going to help us wash & wax the RV. Gotta get it as pretty as you can a '91...lol! Other than that, not sure what today holds just yet.
Now yesterday...that was a busy day! We went to Wal-Mart and picked out a swingset for the grandkids (for at their house). We picked up some other stuff too. We met Dawn, Mark & Markie for dinner. Love oriental food...especially those crab legs! We came to the house then so they could go through the boxes of clothes and stuff. Pauletta...thanks so much for that special stuff for Markie!! I also gave Dawn and Mark the money that has come in for far. How much?
$500!!!!
We're half-way to the $1,000 deductible! I know that some people have their checks in the mail so we'll be giving them another installment next week. I think that is just fantastic!
What's next?
We are planning to have a yard sale with the $$ going to Dawn & Mark. Of course, they will go through and get out any items they can use first. Dawn is checking to see if we can have it in the church parking lot that we had the last clothing exchange. I also asked her to check and see if May 18th & 19th was available. So....check your closets...check your cabinets....check your garage/attic/or whereever you stash your 'too good to throw away, but don't use' items. We all know that clothes usually doesn't sale well in yard sales so household/baby stuff/toys/ ANYTHING would be fantastic! Also, if I could get some volunteers to help with the sale, that would be great! I will need help especially with setting up and taking it down. You don't have to volunteer for both days nor for all day....ANY amount of time would be appreciated! If you can't make it but would like to donate, that would be great too. Just let me know and somehow we'll get the stuff here. I will let you all know about the date(s) and location once it is firmed up. In the meantime, please check those cubby-holes for stuff you don't want and wouldn't mind donating.
Thank you all for all your loving assistance for Dawn and her family. She does appreciate it very much, as do I.

That is so awesome that we have gotten halfway to the deductible! I'm suer the yard sale will really help too. I can't go that weekend,... have to work. If anyone else from Terre Haute might go, or might be going to Indy before then, let me know, and I'll find some thing to contribute.
I am getting really excited about my lasik. I had to change the day from the 18th to the 22nd, because I realized I had to work that evening of the 18th. But that's only a couple days farther away.
In June, I'll be going to a wedding for my cousin in Iowa. I am kind of excited to be able to show off the new bod and no glasses then. Most of my family hasn't seen me since before surgery. I hope I'll be in a sixteen by then. You never know, it might happen!

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all having a great day. I'm going to go get my mother and grandmother from the nursing home and take them out and about for a while. I'm going over to see Dawn in a little bit to take her some kitchen stuff too. She sounded pretty good this morning, all things considered.
Sherri, I'll be happy to help out with the yard sale, just let me know where and when. Not sure what we have to sell, but I'll see if my husband has any fishing stuff he can donate (I know he has plenty!).
