Vicki, We must have been posting at the same time-hee~hee!! CONGRATS GIRL- YOU ARE DOING GREAT!!!! I didn't have a drain tube, but have heard from others what a relief it is to get rid of it. It was so good to see you at the exchange! I was mostly down for my first 2 weeks, so you are really doing well. I know that you are going to go thru alot of changes, and the best is yet to come!! (((hugs))) Ellen

Wow! That's great Vicki! I'm jealous! I have 29 pounds to lose to get to onederland, and i wish I could have them gone in 9 days! I went for my first run this morning, since I was released for excersise again. Sad to say that I can't run nearly as far as I used to be able to when I first got preggo, but happy that I'm even able to run at all. I know that little by little I'll get back to where I was and beyond. I'm whipping out my abslider today too. I'm hoping to have some muscle tone under all the skin when I go to get this junk removed. Everyone stay dry and have a great day!

Good morning everyone! I talked with Dawn this morning. She sounded a little bit better...as I'm sure she will each day. She's going through the tedious task now of inventoring everything. So far, everyone has just been wonderful about getting hold of me to contribute financially or materially for Dawn and her family. I know that Dawn will put everything to good use. It was suggested that anything that is collected that Dawn can't use (ie wrong clothing sizes) be sold in a yard sale to help out with the expenses. I talked with Bill and we thought that was a great idea but thought that it should probably not be at Dawn's house. We wouldn't want anyone to think that the stuff was smoke damaged. So Bill is going to talk with our neighbor and see if he'd mind if we borrowed part of his yard since his front yard is more level than ours. We haven't discussed when yet but I think I'm going to suggest to him Memorial Day weekend. As you are going through your stuff for Dawn, keep that in mind..ok? As we all know, clothes don't sell very well in yard sales (unless they are for babies) so if you have other stuff you wouldn't mind donating for that, that would be great. I'll keep you all informed of that. I was asked what kind of things Markie was into so I called Dawn and asked. He's an avid reader (enjoys Half-Price Books) and suduko. He had a game box and pc but lost them as well as his video games. Together as a family, they enjoy board games. Any $ that isn't accomanied with a card, I am making sure the donor's name is entered onto a card I got. The group over on WLSIndy has set up a PayPal in Dawn's name for their folks to be able to contribute quickly. PayPal keeps a small percentage of the money (I think it was 3%) but it's a great option for those who prefer to do everything 'online'. In addition to funds from there and funds from you guys here on OH, people I work with have come up to me and given me $ for them (btw fellow Lilly people: my drop code is 4431 if you'd like to send $ through there instead of snail mail). I am holding on to all of the money/cards/etc and giving it all to Dawn on Saturday (we're meeting them for dinner). I plan to save up any contributions that come in after that and give it to Dawn once a wek (probably on Saturdays). We are a long way from the $1,000 deductible..but a heck of alot closer than we were Monday evening. It has really touched me the generosity of people. The one thing that Dawn really requested was people's prayers and it is evident that she is recieving them. You all know that I don't get on religeous kicks...but I do believe that the prayers are being answered by God impressing upon those who can, to contribute in any way they can. So if you are financially unable to contribute, please don't feel bad. Just offer prayers for Dawn and her family. God knows what the needs are and knows who he wants to prompt to fulfill those needs. I hope you all have a terrific day...and please do, keep Dawn, Mark, and Markie in your thoughts and prayers today. Sherri
