Bummer with a capital "B"

My last few days have really been busy studying for an educational exam that I had to take this morning and I had not looked at the message board since Wed. I think. My fault. I had no idea the plan had changed. My daughter and granddaughter and I drove down to the original place and got there about 1:15. The people at the church told us that it had been cancelled. I was so embarrassed that we had driven all the way down there for nothing. I should have checked the boards. The test took longer than I expected so we were flying when I arrived home again to leave for Indy. The trip for us was at least 2 1/2 hours. I guess I should have swallowed my pride and called someone there to see if it had been rescheduled. So I missed out seeing everyone and missed out on some much needed clothes too. My daughter's hernia and revision surgery has been approved and she is waiting on a date sometime after July 21 when she will graduate from Ball State. If anyone has clothes size 26-28 that would be suitable for summer wear in a clinical setting that was not able to go to the clothing exchange let me know and we will try to hook up with you. My daughter needs them. I am probably into 22-24 I think. Jan gave me some summer capris that may get me through the summer, but I will desperately need another clothing exchange before school starts in Aug. When will the next one be? I am so bummed. I was really looking forward to seeing everyone and meeting the newbies. Till next time. Karen

Karen, You are so right. That really sucked. Not to mention there were tons of clothes left over in the larger sizes. I really wish I knew how we could get some to you. You might check with Dawn and Jodi on the left overs. I hope we get to meet you at the next one.

I couldnt make it eather no gas.. Had a bad finaical past few days and ended up unable to go ... I hope one day to meet every one....

I was hoping u were there. There were some larger sized formal dresses. I thought maybe your daughter would have liked at least one of them. Did she ever get a formal dress and when is the date of her special event....did it happen already???

We found one on ebay , but due to finaces could not get it and she didnt go , May be next year....

Karen, Oh hon! I was wondering why you weren't here! Don't you still have my number??? The church was going to donate all the clothes (and there was a ton of it!!) that were left to charities. Perhaps someone still has some who wasn't able to make it there either. I was going to go ahead and ship it your Pampered Chef order. I had been holding on to it for today. The clothing exchanges are usually every 4 months so that would make it in August...but I know that Hope mentioned that we could have a clothing exchange up there at the camp grounds if we wanted to....so don't know if that would count for that one or not. Are you going to be able to make it there? I hope so!! Sherri

Karen, I am so sorry that you missed us! I was definately looking forward to seeing ya!~ sherri and I was even talking about missing ya! I sure wish you would have had our numbers to give us a call! It stinks, I had even had a thought of asking for a note to be put up at the other location just in case someone missed it- Jan and I had discussed this at the exchange! I am so sorry- YOU were MISSED!!!!! I look forward to seeing you- hopefully soon, but if not at the next clothing exchange, for sure!
