UPDATE: The Specialist And His Opinion/Diagnosis
I went to see the specialist concerning my cervical cancer diagnosis from my primary OB/GYN at St Vincent's the other day. I saw Dr Sutton, who I right off the bat have to say is one of the most wounderful doctor I have EVER encountered. He looked at my cervix and after showing me and my mother what the primary's and the lab concern was that was showing me having cervical cancer, told me that in his honest opinion, although he couldn't absolutely rule it out, he just didn't think I had cervical cancer at all. He said that more then likely it was a false positve. He said that even if it is, there isn't anything he can do until I give birth anyways so why spend my time and his when we can't exactly do anything about the situation right now. He said that at this day in age it's is almost perfectly normal for a pregnant woman in my age catagory to come up with a false positive cervical cancer diagnosis. He said he'd like to see me in three months (right before I give birth) to make sure there are no more changes, otherwise he's not concerned until at least two (2) months after I give birth to address the situtation. His exact qoute was "Babies grow faster then cervical cancer so I'm not worried and neither should you."
So that's where I am at with this. Kinda basically in limbo. A few months after the baby is born they will do another biopsy and see what happens from there. Untill then I'm trying to just focus on delivering a healthy happy baby and deal with what comes with afterwards. If it's GOD's will.... then so be it. I can't stop him from something he has already planned for me to go through.
Just thought I'd let everyone know what was going on.
Looking forward to seeing everyone next weekend.
