FRIDAY! FRIDAY! FRIDAY!!

Happy Happy Friday everyone! What a beautiful day it is! I am struggling not to just run out of work but alas things must get done. So how is everyone? I have been thinking a lot about Sherri/Bill, Jodi, Dawn/her son, Darrah/Gwyn, Angie/Ed, Carmen, and all you other fabulous losers. I am sorry for not getting around to posting more often. Life has been busy but I wouldn't have it any other way! I hit 9 mo. post op this week and find myself down 93 pounds. Settling into and enjoying One-derland. Thanks to my fantastic Secret Angel I went to Old Navy last weekend and bought some nice new sweaters for summer (hey, I'm cold so I will be wearing sweaters in July!) I also hit up JC Penney's huge sale and bought some new work pants. A size 16 (regular no more plus size for me) and XL tops. Life is so so good! Having some couples over tonight for dinner and then going to some friend's new home tomorrow. Hoping to catch up on sleep and enjoying the sunshine! I hope everyone has a great weekend!! Sam

Awesome, Sam. You have done wonderful so far on your journey. I've been following your progress. I am at two months today and hit 48 pounds. I had set a goal of 50 at two months, so I guess it is not too bad, missed the goal by 2 pounds. It is a beautiful day and sounds like it is going to be a beautiful weekend, too. Hi It has been a hectic week for me. I am helping my SIL get her house decorated, taking daughter to Drs. & I have had a bout with my IBS for the past few days-yuck. it is hard to find anything that my system will tolerate when I am like this other than crackers,chicken broth,and weak tea-ick! I think my nerves have been part of it. Our grandson is getting ready to graduate, and trying to decide what he wants to do- that's enough to give me more gray hairs!! Plus helping with my girlfriends children's weddings -2 weekends apart-boy, I need a vacation! I had my eyebrows professionally done yesturday- the first time ever!!WOW, it hurt but I am amazed at how good they look! I got my hair cut shorter too, since hat season is coming up for me. Just feel like a sometimes when I want to wear shorts and sleevless tops and have to keep covered up. I just don'ty want another round of pre-cancer spots again- they are no fun to have frozen.OUCH!! Being a "sun worshipper" when I was young caught up with me- that, and my vitiligo. Have a great weekend everyone. Three weeks from today I get my surgery! I'm starting to get nervous and excited. Part of me wants to eat everything bad in sight, but part of me is just ready to start losing already! I started writing out a meal plan from the full liquid diet last night, so that I'd have an idea of what I was going to try to eat. I only got through about two days worth, but would like to do the month if possible. I know I may not be able to eat what I am putting on there now, but I'm horrible about meal planning, and I KNOW when I go back to work (hopefully at 2 weeks, 2 days), then I will have to have a plan. Tomorrow I'm doing the DINO 5K in Avon. I'm hoping I can finish. We'll see. Everyone have a great weekend!! Kim

Sam, What a great Friday it is, too!!! You're doing great. I won't recognize you the next time we see each other. We're leaving tomorrow morning for a 10 day vacation to Michigan. Brenda's parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and we're throwing them a big party next Saturday. Last count 50 people have RSVPd. We're going to miss seeing everyone at the Clothing Exchange, but hope everyone has fun. Talk to everyone in a couple weeks. Floyd

wonderful friday half day at work for me then i have afew things to tend to at home before surgery monday. darrah dont worry i will be able to take some as i will be a few days out at the exchange and will need some to hold me over till the next exchange. i cant wait to see everyone and that new baby. she is a doll that is for sure. lot of new ppl to meet and old friends to catch up with. hope everyone has a wonderful day . and no i am not nervous at all just excited about monday vicki

Hi all! I hope everyone's enjoying this beautiful Friday afternoon. I too am struggling to stay at work today. I can see the blue skies from my window. Sigh. I would love to go take the afternoon off, but alas, vacation time must be requested 24 hours in advance in our office. Besides the sec'y has already done payroll and faxed it in, so she would be angry if she had to change it. What can you do. I will be on lunch in a few minutes though, and can get some fresh air then. I am sitting at 200 pounds even as of today. I can't wait to get rid of one more pound, and hit 'one'derland. Tomorrow is my five months anniversary from surgery, and I have lost 85 pounds to date. I am so pleased with how this is going. Linda Vicory

Hey everyone... Since I'm unemployed, I 'll just sit and take it easy for everyone in the sunshine!!! It is beautiful I'm going to take a shower and go for a nice long walk. Linda that's SO awesome that you are that close to onederland... Lucky you.. I can't wait to see you at the exchange and see how much you've changed in the last 2 months.. I got some bad news just now.. My grandmother went for a check up and had some spots checked on her face and arms two of them came back malignant but she didn't right down what type or anything like that. I'm in a pickle because of past issues with her. I'm not supposed to know about this but my mom called and told me. I don't know if I should call her or not. Because of previous issues we have had since the death of my grandfather and my pregnancy things between the two of us are very very strained... On top of that, everyone in my family always depends on me to take care of this stuff and look up the information, talk to the dr's about treatments, go with them to the appointments do all that stuff, but right now I need to focus on me... Am I being awfully selfish? I'll just have to pray on it. My husband has 3 interviews between today and monday so I'm excited about that and then tomorrow we have some friends of ours coming over for a cookout.. And it's going to be warm enough we can open the windows... I'm thinking about goin and buying a sweatshirt and seeing if that will warm me up... I'm always so cold... so i get home from getting jims son AJ and my daughter was here doing her laundry ( WHICH I DONT MIND) SHE LEAVES ME A NOTE TELLING ME THAT THE DOC CALLED AND MOVED MY SURGERY UP TO 1 PM AND NOW I HAVE OT BE THERE AT 1030 AM , I AM GETTING MORE AND MORE EXCITED WITH EACH PASSING HOUR AND I HAVE SO MUCH GOING ON THIS WEEKEND WITH KIDS HERE AND MY GRANDSON HERE. I WONT HAVE TIME TO EVEN THINK LET ALONE WORRY WBOUT HOW MUCH LONGER I HAVE. I SHOW JIM HOW TO PAST LAST NIGHT SO HE CAN UPDATE EVERYONEAND I WILL GIVE HIM A COUPLE PHONE NUMBERS AS WELL SO HE CAN MAKE A CALL FOR ME . WELL I BEST STOP RATTLING AND GET THINGS READY FOR JIM TO GET HOME FROM WORK. I FIGURED I WOULD SPOILE HIM TONIGHT SINCE HE WILL HAVE TO ME FOR A LONG TIME ...LOL VICKI
