Is this NORMAL?
I'm only out 3.5 weeks and I'm FREEZING ALL THE TIME!!!!!! I can never get warm. It doesn't help that my husband refuses to set the thermostat above 70 but seriously I have to sit under blankets with a heating pad underneath at night to stay warm and during the day... Is this normal? I've only lost 30 lbs... I wasn't this cold last time i weighed this...
Here is my rationalization of it... My body is burning SO much fuel and releasing SO much heat that I"m cold... like when you have a sunburn, your skin is hotter than hell but you shiver... at least it sounds logical to me!!!
Can someone please let me know if they had this problem so soon after surgery?
Thanks
Jessyca

YEP!!!
I still am cold! I invested in fleece/flannel sheets and bought a down comforter! I was used to sweating all the time and now I am freezing!I also purchased gloves last winter when they were on clearance, i have them everywhere, work, glovebox, pillowcase, yep pillowcase, I get so cold that I end up putting them on and wake up with them still on. LOL!!! Hubby thinks I am crazy, but says it is payback for all the summers I FROZE him out with the ac!!!!
You are not alone! Hugz Dawn
You are very normal, sweetheart. I have always been referred to as "my little furnace" by my DH. But now I've taken to wearing long sleeves all the time, I'm never without a sweater or jacket, and I sleep on a heating pad every night with the electric blanket turned on high.
I ask for the "warm" table in restaurants. I scope out where the heat/air registers are in church before I select a seat. I'm thinking of finding myself a "blankie" to start carrying with me everywhere I go. Just please stop me if you see me sucking my thumb!
