Is anyone from Merrillville Indiana or nearby? Has anyone had Lap-Band surgry at Grand Park Surgical Center in Merrillville or at St. Margaret Mercy Healthcare Centers in Dyer, Indiana recently?

Hi I live in Griffith and had the by pass at st margret mercy in mereville They also do the lap band there. It went fine and the dr and his staff are very good Dr Stanish is his name if you are interested. He does both. Good luck, Barry

Hi: I'm from Gary, IN. My name is Wedell Jones and I've just been approved by my primary insurance (Starmark) after being denied twice for the lap band surgery. I don't know my surgery date yet, but I'm going through the Methodist Hospitals Weight Loss Center. Dr. Stanish is the surgeon. Since it's been a year that my hustand's insurance approved me, BC-BS Anthem, I have to recertify with them. I probably won't have my surgery until sometime in July or August.
