gallbladder problems before surgery!
Well, my RNY is scheduled for 6/27/07. Very exciting! BUT, my gallbladder isn't functioning now, so I'm always feeling nauseated
and in pain.
When I had my consultation with Dr. Evanson in January, I told him my gallbladder was borderline. He said that during surgery, he could look and take it out if necessary. I guess my concern is that I don't know if I can wait 2 more months to get my gallbladder out. AND my whole family (parents, brothers/sisters, etc) are going on this 10 day disney cruise in Europe (we've had planned for 2 years) the first two weeks of June, so I don't want to be on my cruise and miserable. Should I call Dr. Evanson's and see what they say? I mean, I don't want to have two surgeries if I don't have to!

definitely call him...they may just put you on a very very strict diet until your surgeryt o keep it from acting up. Those things are so painful... Most of the time they take them out during the surgery... That's a big close two months... DEFINITELY CALL him... plus he's so cute so what's an extra visit eh?

I would definatley call, and see what they can do or recommend. I know gall bladders can be a big problem. I have seen it with my daycare lady, and several co-workers. Dr. Inman took out mine during surgery, because it was full of stones, but I wasn't having problems yet with it, so I guess that was lucky.
