Anyone from the Ball Hospital Bariatric Center (MUNICIE)

I am new to all this and am currently waiting for my Insurance approval! I would like to get into touch with anyone who has advice, experience, knowledge! I really would like to talk with individuals who have had the surgery at the same center or by the same surgeon (Sprunger, I think he used to work at St. Vincents). Hey Lisa, I started to reply yesterday but lost my connection! Anyway, I looked at having surgery at Ball, (I'm in Yorktown and work in Muncie) but decided in the end to go to St. Vincent's instead. For me, I just felt better going to a Center of Excellence and to a place with a lot more experience. I'm sure Ball is fine though! Because of my work, I know of most of the doctors in Muncie and the surrounding counties, and I know that Dr. Sprunger has been a dr. here for several years. I don't know when or how he began bariatric surgery though. I do know they have a support group meeting at Ball for bariatric patients, and I have considered going to that since it is so much closer to me that Carmel, or even Anderson for that matter, which are the closest St. Vincent's support groups to me. But I'm not sure if they would welcome someone from another hospital. Anyway, I did talk to someone there at one point and then backed out of a consultation since I decided to go elsewhere, and I will say they were very nice to me over the phone every time I spoke with someone and they replied to e-mails very quickly too.
