I am sorry Pam that you were not able to visit with Jennie on Friday. Here is the latest update I got from Tom today. I am sure Jennie is getting depressed over staying in the hospital. Lets all keep praying that she will soon be able to go home and start off on her weight loss journey. Papa Dan *********************************************************** Dear friends and family, Hello once again to all of you from Carmel. We received some disappointing news today. The Discharge Planner informed us that my dear Jennie's release next week has been cancelled, due to a technicality with the wound vac. They will not let a patient go home with a wound vac if their wound has a fistula in it, due to possible complications. The wound has gotten much smaller, but still requires the vac to help it stimulate new tissue growth. The doctor is hopeful that the wound will close in the near future, while my Jennie waits at the hospital. While we are anxious for her dismissal, we are cautious and it is getting harder and harder for her to stay at the hospital, because she wants to go home. She is also anxious to begin the diet and weight loss, it has been almost a year. Jennie's visitors since the last update have been Jim & Sharon Golliher, and Penny Finch. Once again we want to let you know that we covet your thoughts, cards, and prayers on my dear Jennie's behalf. We know that it has been the prayers of God's people that have sustained her. Have a blessed day, Tom

Hey- I am going to be st St. vin. on the 17th for my surgery. I am sure I will have an opportunity to visit with Jennie. I am fairly new to the board. Can someone fill me in on what has happened to Jennie...why is she still in the hospital? Perhaps I can bring a little sunshine to her day....

Yeah Dan I was really sad that they wouldnt let me in but I knew she needed her rest at the same time. They said they had just given her a shot and that she really needed the rest so I didnt wake her up. It has been so long that I had wanted to meet her ....I was just a bit disappointed. The nurse didnt ask for my name either so Im sure she will never know I was there. Thanks for continuing to update us on her condition. I hope she gets better soon
