Jodi, I can tell from your post that you are strong and courageous! The definition of bravery is'nt "being unafraid". It's "doing what needs to be done inspite of your fear"! You are brave. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts. Cindy

Hey There Gorgeous Jodi! I am so sorry to hear of your bad news. I share you feelings. I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma in November of 2002 and after reading about the disease I was so scared that my daughters would be left without out a mother. They had lost their father in 2000 and I couldn't bear for them to not have anyone there for them. My cancer was in stage 2 but fortunately I had a great Dr. and surgeon and mine was caught early enough that my chances for survival are very good now. I am careful and wear a good sunscreen. I have never used a tanning bed/booth so it was suprising to me to get it. Artificial tanning is the highest rate of people getting it today. After my first good cry and a long talk to God I remained positive and upbeat and have been healthy to this day. I got married in 2003, moved here to Indy and my life started over. My daughters are now 23 and 25 and if something ever did happen to me I know that their stepfather, and stepbrother would take care of them and they would still have family around. sometimes it takes the scary "C" word to alter our lives in a positive way. I am so much more positive about life now that the threat of it being gone thru disease came into my life. Keep your spirits up and keep your mind strong with positive thoughts. You will get thru this sweetie! Hugs! Marianne

Jodi, I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but there are soo many things that they can do for cervical cancer now it's unbelievable. My sister and step-sister have both had it and get it back and have to have it removed. My Step sister even gave birth in the middle of a bad case of lesions with no issues, so keep hope... My thoughts and prayers are with you dear... I will add you to my prayer list and may God hold you in His arms and heal you.... Take care Jessyca

Jo, I will definately keep you in my prayers. 2 of my daughters have cervical cancer, as well as myself. They have come so far in advancing the treatments for the past 10 yrs. I have been in remission for years, & mine was mild. I have 1 daughter who never could have children, but has a wonderful step-son,& the other had a son while she had lesions, and did fine. They treated her 6 weeks after her son's birth, and she is still in remission (6 yrs. ago.) Like Mariah, they have checkups every 6 mo. and several surgeries, but always with a positive outcome.I am sure we all will honor your request, and pray that the news is good next week. Keep your faith strong, and know prayers are going out for you. ((((hugs & blessings))) Ellen

Dear Jodi, You and your son (and unborn baby) are in my prayers. You seem like a strong woman to me, so I know you will fight with all you have in you for yourself and your children. God's blessings on you, Donna Charles
