Missing you all!!!
Carmen
So good to hear from you. I am kind of envious of your moving to Texas. We moved back here to Kokomo 6 years to look after Ann's mother got to the point where she needed Ann's help. After her mother died 3 years ago and left the house to Ann, we decided to retire here in Kokomo. We had just bought 17 acres of land in East Texas for our retirement home. Before that we lived in the Dallas area. San Marcos is a great area. That is very much a German community, especially down in New Braumsfell. . The people are very friendly in that area. We have some very dear friends living in New Braumsfell. We use to go to the Annual Worst Fest every year.
I am also sorry for the loss of your friend to a drunken driver. We just lost a good friend from here in Kokomo on Easter Sunday. She was traveling on I-465 and wa**** by a car traveling the wrong way. Joy was killed and here 3 girls and 2 other youngsters are still in the hospital.
When you get to Texas hopefully we see a post from you for your Indiana friends.
Ann and I will remember you in our Prayers.
Papa Dan

Carmen,
I am sorry I didnt have a chance to meet you in person. You have been a constant on the board since I first joined and I was hoping to meet you at the clothing exchange. Thanks for all of the support you have given all of us newer loosers on the Indiana board. Hope you will continue to post here so it wont seem you are so far away.

Carmen - I will miss your bubbly personality and your smile. I am so sorry I missed the hot tub party and your show and tell. I would have loved to see the new and improved you. You are a fantastic mom with all of your "special" children. I am sure you will be a blessing in Texas. Remember to bloom where you are planted. God has plans for you there and He will show you in His time. Keep in touch here. You have many friends. Karen
Dear Carmen,
Well, it has been said over and over here: "You are going to be missed." I think of you often and will miss you, too. You will never know what it meant to me for you to visit me while I was in the hospital. I am doing well. I don't know if you read on here that Jaime had to have another surgery. She was hospitalized last Thursday with pancreatitis and gall bladder problems. They put her on IV antibiotics to get the pancreatitis under control and then on Tuesday, Dr. Mandelbaum removed her gall bladder. Our prayers were answered when he was able to do it laparoscopically. She is donig fine and plans on going back to work on Wednesday. We hope and pray that there are no more surgeries in her future!
I saw Dr. Mandelbaum yesterday for my two-month check-up (it will be two months next Friday since my surgery). He seemed pleased with my progress. I told him that I had heard that you were moving to Texas.
Carmen, I wish you and your family all the best. You will still be in my thoughts and prayers.
Blessings,
Donna
