Hi, My surgery date is May, 22 and I am going to have all my tests done on April 30th and I'm really not sure what to expect. will it be easy or embarassing? Any comments would be welcome! Thanks a bunch. p.s. Does anyone know when support groups meet in Carmel or near Greenwood?

Here is a link with the support group times: http://www.wlsindy.com/support.htm I thought the only bad part of the pre-op testing was the stuff you had to drink for the upper GI (I think that's what it was for). That was no fun. The rest was pretty easy. Linda Vicory

carrie i had mine done today i was there about 2 21/2 hours and nothing to be embarassed about you start with bloof work and a breath test takes just a few minutes then its off to cardio for an eeg of the heart, then a talk with the nurse and sign a few papers, the off to have an ultra sound so they know everything is in the right pace then your off to have a chest x ray and the upper gi.. now the upper gi isnt so bad if you like drinking wall paper paste . it is so really think nasty white chalk but if you get past that you have it licked. bad thing is i have been burping all day and most of this evening from that crap. but in the long run it is well worth it. i hope this helps.. vicki
