having problems

I have been fighting an infection for several months and have been on oral antibiotics for a long while. I have been haveing problems with my stomach, not being able to keep anything down much, and alot of diareaha since being ill and on so many medications. I am a little over two months post op and was wondering if anyone else has problems with antibiotics after being on them for so long.

Rachel, I'm confused. Are you two years post-op or 2 months? When I was about 7 months post-op...1 month post-op from my revision...the doctors thought I had some kind of infection going on. After 3 antibiobitics (all in liquid form) and countless anti-nausea meds (pills, suppositories, and injections!), an endoscopy was done and I was closed up (AGAIN). If you are 2 months post-op, an endo might be in order. If you are 2 years post-op, what form is your antibiotic in? Any kind of capsules or jel-tabs go through me without breaking down at all. For me to get any benefit from meds, they have to be in either liquid or tablet form. Our bodies do not have access to the stomach acids to break down capsules anymore. Welcome to the board.
