Getting Closer

It is getting closer to surgery time. Next Wednesday. I am very excited and a little scaired. Ready to get going. Anyone else going to be at St. Vincent Carmel? What do you take to the hospital with you except slippers, toothbrush, etc. Did anyone take t shirts and jammy bottoms? Alice

Congrats, Alice! I took some housecoat-type pajamas, ones the zipped or buttoned down the front, so I wouln't have to totally hike up my gown to let the doctor check the incisions. I was glad to have chapstick too, my lips got dry after surgery. I took comfy sweats to go home in. Linda Vicory

Thanks Linda, I am just trying to get my stuff together. I only have today off before my surgery. I have to work up to the day before. Did you have the open RNY? How long were you off of work? I know I ask alot of questions. Alice Bowling

I had lap RNY, and I was off 2 weeks. I was ready to go back, because I was bored at home. I do sedentary work, so it was no problem. Ask questions, all you want, I don't think anyone on the board minds! Linda Vicory
