I just received this email from Tom and wanted to pass it on to you all. Dan *********************************************************** Dear friends and family, Hello to all of you again this chilly spring morning from Carmel. Jennie's doctor called in an anesthesiologist, instead of an orthopedic surgeon, to do a nerve block. They decided to use cortisone after all, as well as adding a local anesthetic. It was decided to use a particular kind of cortisone that can be kept localized at the injection site. The procedure went well, took less than five minutes, and was not terribly painful. The doctor said that the pain from her ruptured disk will continue for two or three days until the cortisone takes effect. She will continue to receive the same pain medication until the block takes effect. They plan to revaluate the wound vac today, but it still seems to be working well. I thank you all again for your continued thoughts, cards, and prayers for my dear Jennie. In His way, Tom Pray continually; give thanks in all cir****tances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not put out the Spirit's fire; I Thessalonians 5:17-19
