Question for all those losers help me
I actually had one the day after surgery and was unable to... anyway had to call my nurse for help...it was the male nurse so i asked his assistant to assist me... funny but true.. I guess I am sexist... int he bathroom..
THEN it was about a week.. so little goes in so of course little comes out... Remember volume!! If 6 ounces a day goes in don't expect alot more coming out... at first then wow!! seems all you are do is flushing away all that extra weight!!!

Funny thing, that EXACT same thing happened to me, but i have huge issues with going number two and when I asked the nurse to help me i was bawling in the bathroom because i was embarassed... it was awful...
Another funny thing... I'm talking 5 MINUTES after I had to go to the bathroom... I went... it wasn't very much but at least that worry is out of the way thanks gals for the advice.

Yep same problem here! I think it was about 4-5 days for me and I'm still not regular. This is to be expected (that's what my manual says). I actually asked my surgeon yesterday what I can take for that and he recommended applesauce and if that didn't help to try Colace. Colace is a brand name; CVS & Walgreens have their own version which is exactly the same only cheaper. It should be right next to Colace on the shelves.
Make sure your drinking lots of water and taking walks cuz that really helps.
A week is pretty long so you might want to call your surgeon to see what he/she prefers you to use!
Good luck, I'll say a prayer for poop!
