Saturday morning...

Good morning all! Bill's surgery went as well as we could have hoped for. As soon as his old tube was moved, it started functioning again so they moved it to a new location and that's about it. That's my understanding anyway. The surgeon didn't come out to talk with me and Bill was still a little groggy when the surgeon left him. I guess we'll learn more at his appointment this morning. On another note... I've received a note from someone wanting to be a part of the angel group. The angel group is very similar to the secret pal of our mom's day. Those participating are asked to remember their special someone at least once per month by sending them a card or some other small thing to brighten their day. The group was started back in February. Since that time, whenever I would get 3 or more people expressing interest in joining, I would match them up. 3..so that it wouldn't just be a simple name swap for 2. I told the interested person that I'd put out a note on the board and see if 2 more people would like to join the Angel group as well. If so, please drop me an email at [email protected] and I'll send you a message with all the details and what info I would need from you to assist your angel. I know we've had several new people lately so please, feel free to drop me a note if you'd like! This is NOT for post-ops only! If you are on this board, you qualify..ok? I hope everyone else is doing ok. Ellen..? I haven't heard from you lately. I hope all is starting to get sorted a little bit with Amy. As much as can be anyway. Dawn....I hope things are better today. I was looking forward to Sunday, but well understand that sometimes things happen to change our plans. If there's anything I can do, let me know. Angie...How'd Ed's last tests turn out? How is everything else going? Darrah...feeling ok hon? I know that many, many of you are also battling demons and ghosts right now. Rather if it be medical, family, financial, or anything else...you have friends here who care & understand. Many hugs to each of you. I know it has been a real comfort for me to be able to come here and bare my soul and know you all would understand and have compassion. On the flip side, when something joyous happens, you all are my family and the ones I want to share those moments with as well. Love you guys & gals! I'll be back on Spark people as soon as little Ms THing here pops on out! In fact, it's still my homepage, I never changed it when I got preggo hehehe. I was hopping on to see how Bill's surgery went. Glad to hear it went as well as could be expected- what more can you ask for? Still no baby yet. I'm trying, I really am! Just can't seem to get my uterus on board with the game plan. But, at least we know she'll be here Monday at the latest. We'll have the laptop with us, and I'll have hubby post as soon as we get a chance!

I spoke too soon. At Bill's follow-up today, the pressure was back UP to 55! He now has to have the same surgery as yesterday but this time, they will put in the new tube. That surgery is set for next Wednesday. It's so frustrating that they didn't just go ahead and put it in yesterday!! Sherri

I am so sorry to hear this! I will be keeping the two of you in my thoughts and prayers! If ya need to chat, give me a hooler, OK! Hopefully everything will calm back down and the numbers will drop! I know that the waiting is tough! Hang in there, I know that Bill is probably a nervous wreck also, and things can get tougher when everyone is stressed. Hi Sherri, & everyone, Sherri, I'm with you- I can't believe they didn't just take care of it Thurs. GEEZ.... What were they thinking??!! I just hope Bill isn't in too much pain, and that by Wed. he'll be doing better.You know I have been thinking of you-both! We have been going all overthe place lately- trying to get my daughters house ready to sell; take care of grandkids; appts.; etc, so haven't been on for a few days. Amy had a court hearing yesturday for her restraining order, and "he" didn't show up( why would he- he has several warrents out for him, we found out!!:-& Got to tell you, I just don't understand "why she did what she did" but am thankful she is home & SAFE.) The judge came out and said she told her that she is very lucky to have supportive people in her life- it is very sledom she sees anyone have that kind of loving support during something like this. We found out she's 4 months pregnant. Tony has been a "saint" and she is very lucky to have him in her life. Things are settling down otherwise, and they are trying to sort things out/ getting adjusted. We are going to Vincennes University with Nick, our grandson, for Prevu day tomorrow, so heading down tonight and staying at a Comfort Inn. I think I am going to pack my swimming suit, and relax for the evening! Hopefully they have a hottub!! Just hope he gets all the info he needs so he can finish his Fire Science degree, plus financial aide.Kids grow up sooo fast! Got to go pack, so everyone, have a great weekend!! ((hugs)) Ellen

Ellen You give the words grandma and mom a good name!!! I am so proud of the way you handle your difficulties and so in awe!! You will be rewarded later for all your difficulties you have experirenced and now that it is your time to relax, retire and enjoy life you are still raising kids... Bless your heart!! You are to be admired!! You and hubby both!! Best of luck to your daughter.. hopefully God will open her eyes to a better way of living!! at least she is away from the jerk who abused!! Linda

Sherri, So sorry to hear that Bill's pressure is back up. I agree with you --why didn't they just put a new tube in instead of trying to adjust the old. I'm sure had they known this was going to happen, they would have. What's that old saying about hind-sight? I have been praying for the two of you. I hope you can enjoy some peace this weekend in the midst of this turmoil. Also Sherri, I have come to respect your opinion and appreciate your advice since joining the board just a few short weeks ago. Happy Saturday all! Sneaking on to read/post before I get cracking at the store today. My goal is to get all the shelves of old inventory cleaned and ALL the new inventory in place today! That's what's left of 65 boxes One of my 'work campers' did the whole sewer/water section, so that's one section I don't have to worry about! Sherri sorry to hear about Bill's frustrations w/ surgery. I'm praying for him!
