what is the "honeymoon period"
I have always heard up to 18 months for losing! Some even lose till 2 years! You just must continue to work your tool and follow the rules! I hope this helps! I am sure sherri or one of the other ladies will give you some more definate info! Sorry, this is all I have to offer- but wanted you to know, you are still able to lose! I am 14 months out and still losing!

Regina,
The honeymoon period is a different length of time for different people. When you first have the surgery, you pretty much lose weight regardless of anything you do. You may not exercise much, and yet, you lose weight. You may not get in enough protein or drink enough water, and yet, you lose weight. At some point however, this stage ends and it takes increasing your exercise, drinking your water, and getting enough protein in for you to see that scale move. Typically, this honeymood period is usually somewhere between 1-2 years. The closer you get to your goal, the closer you are to that point.
At 6 months, you are still a newlywed. As you go through your journey, even in the honeymoon period, your body will go through times of just needing to catch it's breath. A true plataue is when your weight stalls for a minimum of 6 weeks. Are you measuring yourself? If not, do. As we gain muscle, which is denser than fat, we will experience little stalls in 'weight loss' but are losing inches as the muscles are built up. Think of the old joke 'what is heavier, a pound of feathers or a pound of bricks'. Of course, a pound is a pound, but the brick would take up alot less room just as muscles do.
