PS on thighs with lymphedema?

Could any of you that have had lymphedema and had PS (Plastic Surgery) on your thighs (medial thigh) tell me of your results, dangers, doctors, etc. I am very nervous about this. I have went to two PS consults so far (I have one more in April). One told me that my legs scare her and that she would not touch them. She said that she would send me to the University Hopsital in Indianapolis. The other one said that he would do them, but that there would be no garantee that the lymphedema would not be worse afterwards. He said that there is a 30% chance that the lymphedema would be worse. He said that they have no way of being able to see all the lymphs in the thighs and that some would probably be removed. He said that he would want me to first go through lymphedema therapy for weeks before surgery. I liked this doctor overall better than the first, but I am leaning towards going with him for the circumpherial body lift but checking in to more of an expert in lymphedema. I also posted this on the PS Meassageboard, but I am interested in finding a doctor in Indiana that specializes in PS with lymphedema. Thanks for any help you can give me.
