OK...got my son's cancer done... And now going to have to sue my sister... And now.... We had some bad news today with Bill's left eye (remember the other one is blind). He had an artificial cornea put in Dec. 15th and had a regular check-up today. His pressure has shot through the roof. ~teens is normal for most people. ~20's is about normal for him. Today? 70-80. The are wanting to put in a valve to release the pressure. The last time he said yes to that kind of surgery is when he lost his right eye...so....naturally, he said no. But..if it stays high or keeps spiking high, it's going to kill the nerve and him go blind in that eye anyway. They gave him some pills and he has to be back at 7 in the morning. Hopefully, it will either go down and stay down in a more reasonable range or the doctor will be able to convice him (and me!) that it will be alright. They did say that they would be putting in a to be with a valve and that his last one had no valve. We'll see. I'll let you know what happens in the morning. They wanted to schedule him for surgery tomorrow at 8! He wants to wait for a month and see how it does. They say he is going to be blind in a month if he waits. Then they look at me as if I can change his mind. As if! So....for the next few weeks I will be walking on egg shells to see if Bill will totally lose his sight or not. I wish they had a cure for anaretia. I wish Jordy's visor from Star Trek really existed!! Sherri ps..And to top that off, found out yesterday that menopause is HERE! Oh boy! Yep, I needed a reason to be moody, right? On the bright side, a hot flash means not freezing my patootie off!

Sherri, It's time for you to have some better luck. You deserve it! We have you and Bill in our thoughts and prayers that he won't need surgery and it will get better. Keep us informed on how he's doing. Floyd

WOW, Sherri I am so sorry to hear this! I will be thinking for the best results possible! I know that it is a hard decision, and men are not always persuadable. I hope that God gives you the information that you are needing to make the best possible decision! I know his nerves as well as yours have got to be a mess. Please keep in mind that he too is going to be going through a lot of emotions- and he may feel as if he doesn't have a big network of support, you know you have us as a group. I am near if ya need anything! Let me know! I am thinking of you both! Hugz Dawn

Sherri, hang in there. Just remember that God doesn't put more on us then we can handle, even if we think we can not handle anymore. I will keep you and Bill in my prayers and my thoughts.
