yes we do not want to cut up anything that someone might be able to use. if it has a hole or a stain that is the perfect items to use. as far as fabric cotten or cotten blends work best. nothing like lace or stretchy other then that most anything works well. at the clothing exchange we can all get together and decide what to do with the quilts. heck we could even sell it and put the money up for future events for us all . there are a million ideas we just need a couple good ones. i will do the sewing someone else can decide what we do with them. vicki

I think that's an awesome idea!! A denim quilt is sooooo warm in the cold winters, and they look awesome when they are done too. I've seen them done with the seams on the 'upside' and they look so cool! I won't be able to make the next exchange (campground is open then) but maybe in the fall, or maybe if we have a campout I can get some to you then. I've already donated a bunch of my 'before' clothes away (hey I'm in 11/12 now) but I do still have some 14's laying around (I'm afraid to admit I'm hanging onto them Just-in-case). My mom is a professional quilter, used to teach back-in-the-day. I've seen some beautiful quilts here in Amish Country too. Bought one too! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$! I hoep the campout is a go, con't wait to meet everyone! Hope

Vicki- What an awesome idea! I would love to see something useful to be done with some of my old pants that are just going to be tossed. Thanks! Karen
