Recipe Help Needed
Hi,
I am lactose intolerant too. I can tolerate dairy products though, just not milk! Can you eat yogurt or cottage cheese? I love cottage cheese salad-
1 container lite/ or s/f cool whip- I use lite
1 container lowfat/ff cottage cheese
1 can pineapple tidbits drained
1 package s/f jello
mix this all together, it is fluffy and taste like a dessert, and is good for ya!
I like the orange jello flavor, taste like a dreamscicle!
I have also used peaches and peach jello, you could alter it however!

Have you talked to the Dr. about your nausea? They do have meds. for it that helps. I am lactose interolerant also and use soymilk for my protien as well as seafood, tuna, turkey, ground chicken and some cheeses. BocaBurger has lots of soy products. Also, try Isopure- I like the pineapple,mango the best, but they have alot of flavors. I get it a GNC. Have you talked to the Dietician yet? They are a great source of info and a great help. Hope you feel better soon- watch your fluids and don't get dehydrated.

Welcome to the board! I'm sorry that I don't have any woo-hoo suggestions for protein for the lactose intollerant. Since I can't stand Isopure, I guess I'd recommend you're getting as much as you can from seafood. It is very high in protein. Just don't drown it in butter. Check some other sources too such as chicken broth and flat-outs. The nut will be able to offer more alternatives but I think Isopure is what they usually recommend first. GNC has it. If you go get some, save your reciept. GNC will refund your money for stuff you don't like.
