I saw on the news that there was a dog/cat food recall due to the food causing kidney failure and possibly death for several animals. After seeing our dog food brand listed, I decided we needed to change dog foods. Looking online, I went to the pedigree site, and found in their merchandise section you can donate a 22 pound bag of dog food to a shelter of your choice for $9.99 and they will MATCH the donation. Each 22 pound bag of dog food is enough to feel a shelter dog for about a month, so with each donation, you can feed two dogs for a whole month! Which might not sound like a lot, but for those two dogs, it makes a big difference! If anyone is interested, here's a link to the site where you can choose a shelter and donate. I sent a bag to the Happy PAWS animal rescue here in Indianapolis which is a no kill shelter. You can shose a local shelter for you from a list they will give you by zip code. http://www.dogsrulegear.com/dogsrule/product.asp?dept_id=3&pf_id=DOG9907-C&mscssid=FXQLPQ2 SN24T9LM30AAE3VWTHQHD92FCQ2LMHQ
