Had a blast!!!!

Good Morning, I just got up and the kids have been up for awhile. Let's see, the bedroom window was wide open, the water was running in the bathroom, at one point the alarm started going off because my 5 yr old went out into the garage, and they were at the kitchen counter filling up containers of water to 'splash' my Maine Coon, Drake!!!!! Looks like I overslept a bit, huh? I had a wonderful time last night. I really wish I could have stayed longer, I would have loved to get in the hot tub again and visit some more. I had promised another friend last month that I would come to her party, so I had to head down there for a bit. She made me sing Karaeoke.............Good Lord. I could hear the dogs howling outside ;) Sweet Caroline, LOL. Sherri, thank you so much for the get together. It was so nice to see everyone again and meet some new people who I have only seen in pictures. I agree with everyone, this group eagerly welcomes new comers and makes everyone feel right at home. I really appreciate that. Ok, so what were the cheesy crackers out on the porch that were orange, thin, crispy, and round? They were wonderful!!! I have to get some of those. I wanted to try some of the others too, but I figured I had better stop. The food was TOOOO good. And thanks for the compliment. I feel like I've recovered pretty well, now I just need this thing to work Ellen, good grief. When it rains it pours, huh? I'm so sorry for the stresses you are going through with your family. I sure hope it will become more manageable soon. I think right now everything is just so much of a shock. What's that saying about Mom's and kids. "As babies they take your heart, later they break your heart" It is good that she has come back for support. God knows what would happen to her on the street. I sure hope a counselor can straighten her out, those kids need a Mom and you can't be expected to do everything. Jessyca, I'm so excited for your upcoming surgery. I know you have been waiting a long time. I'll be checking on ya' ;) Carmen--so glad to see you out. Not a problem to take you home. I enjoyed getting to know you better. Mariah--it was wonderful meeting you too. I really enjoyed talking to you in the tub. I'll let you know if I bypass the 22T stage, but I'm thinking I'll be in them until June or so. Weight just doesn't come off as fast with the band, and that's ok with me. Heck, I haven't been this weight since I got pregnant with my 6 yr-old, so I'm happy. Gosh I'm so jealous. I want to move to Indy to be closer to you all. We went to our Eucher tournament last night and it was fun but is sure sounds like you guys had a blast. There was 1 gal at the tourney that is a ST. V post op but she is such a snob. She is almost resent ful of me for having the surgery also. Like she's the only one that deservers to look better. The others I know up here are nice but just not active in anything other than our monthly support group. There are a few there that I could probably get together with and have a party here. Karen Wing from Decatur is one and Sarah Jones is another that would come. How about it you northerners. Anyone up for a get together up here? The others aren't active here on OH. Glad you all had such a great time.

Jan, I agree with the jealousy thing!! I am from the northern part of the state as well - Warsaw. Do you attend the support group meetings at Turnstone? I attended my first one last Tuesday. Were you there by any chance? I would love to have some get togethers up here in the northern section. Any other "northerners" out there who are interested? Peg

Jan - I would love some kind of get together up in this northern area. I really debated about driving down to Indy for the event but this was the weekend to buckle down and clean. It will be a busy week and I will be in Indy next weekend. My parents are coming to visit the following Tuesday. Let me know. I live at my daughter's house but she would not mind me hosting something if I am at a good location. We have a big fenced in back yard. If the weather is nice we could enjoy the outside. Hey..if you all 'northerners' decide to get together, let me know when & where. Some of us 'midlanders' would like to take a drive up and see/meet you all! Road trip! Sherri and Bill, Thanks so much for having this get together. It was so much fun and I love your hot tub room. It was great seeing old friends and meeting new friends. It makes posting so much more enjoyable when you've met the person you're "talking" to. It was nice being able to sit and chat for awhile. The food was great, Sherri. You outdid yourself again. Sorry some of our friends couldn't make it. We can't make the next clothing exchange but look forward to some of the other gatherings planned. Floyd

last night was awsome such a wonderful group of people . we enjoy meeting everyone. the food was just awsome and gave me hope that i will be fine a year out. i hope to have a date this week i am going to call st v"s monday and check and see if they have anything yet.i know heathers voice mail says wait 7-10 days but with me working the same hours she does its hard and no cell phone i have ask her to email me the date i just hope she will.. ohh i am so not rambling again.. yes i am . i will stop . sherri thank you again for having jim and i over. and look forward to getting together again soon. vicki

The food was great by the way!!! Mariah- thanks so much for the clothes Just give a date and directions and my hubby and I will take a road trip to relive you and your husband of all the clothes in the basement in case you can't make it to the clothing exchange. Carmen- you looked great I am so jealous!!! Jess- it was nice to meet you in person and I will be up to the hospital to walk with you after your surgery in the evenings. Mendi, Sounds great. I know my husband would love to get them out of the house. The pile isnt as big as the one last month but Im sure we can find u about 2 or 3 big bags of clothes. I also have a robe u could have and one u could take to Vicki....plus lots more bras and nightys. Vicki... I hope u enjoyed your purple passion last night....LOL It was so nice to meet you both.
