 Baritric Vitamins Versus Centrum Chewable???

My nutrionist wants all the bariatric patients to use the bariatric vitamins. I have read that Centrum Chewable vitamins are just as good. I hate the thought of taking 4 Bariatric chewable vitamins a day for the rest of my life plus the higher cost of the bariatric vitamins versus the ONE Centrum. Any output out there? Only 4 days to go! Deb

Deb, I never heard of the 'bariatric vitamins'. Only 1 Centrum wouldn't be enough for a post-op though. What most of us take: 3 per day: Fintstone Chewable multi-vitamins (can substitute with generic, but be sure it has the same components with similar amounts of each) 3 per day: Calcium citrite (citrical 1-2 per week: B12 sublingual or 1 per month: B12 injection 1 per week: B1 Would also recommend taking Biotin (to reduce hair loss). I would also recommend starting that now. Sherri

thanks Sherri. I am glad that I asked. These are by Optisource made specifically for bariatric patients. Like I said you take four a day and they supply all the vitamins and nutrients that you need. No need for anything else. You can buy them from Walgreen's (behind the pharmacy counter) or online but are very expensive. I paid $28.33 for one month supply. Here is a link to the bariatric vitamins. http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=301120&navAction=jump&navCount=0&id=prod4 03359 Also thanks for the heads up on the Biotin...I've never heard of it. Is it a vitamin? And where do you get it? I've only got this weekend to get it since Monday will be spent on the commode due to my two little bottles of mag citrate Deb
