Good Day Everyone, Gage and I got home a little towards 4 pm yesterday. The furneral home let the immediately family have plenty of time to travel and stayed open rather late so we could all see him before he was sent out for cremation. It was rather hard on my brother and Gage. Our dad was my brother's best friend and confident. For Gage this was the first time a family member had died and the first time he had ever seen a dead body. But we got through it. Paid our respects and respected his wishes. His remains come back to my step mother next Monday. Next month we will be having a memorial service. My dad had a rather large network of friends from the various charities he participated in faithfully. I"m thankful that today is a brand new day for me. My mind is very muttered but I"m getting through. It was nice to read all the well wishes that was posted in response to my post because I've been feeling really alone lately. Everyone made me feel a little better with each comment and thought. Thank You. I have furniture being delivered today to the new house. And my mom is taking my shopping for the baby's bed, hoping that will encourage me to occupy my time (and my mind) with painting her/his room. Have a good day everyone. Jodi

HI Jodi, I'm so sorry for your grief and I'm glad you got up there and back ok. Yes, focus on the new little one and everything positive going on in your life. I'm sure your Dad would have wanted you to be happy. Tania

Jodi, I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad! I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers! Well, I'm back in KOA yellow for the day today! Heading out to some of the Elkhart RV industry-type business to drum up some donations for an Auction we are having in May. KOA supports 35 campgrounds (non-KOAs) in US that provide a week of camping (free of charge) to kids (and their families) that have cancer (remission or end stages) and on May 11 & 12 we're having a weekend dedicated to raising funds for those camps. It will be our first Auction and we are hoping it will ba a success. I hated yellow for years BTW, now I'm stuck wearing it as my uniform 7 days a week for 7 months straight! You can bet the 1st of November you won't be seeing me in Yellow! Well, everyone have a good Thursday! God Bless all my new 'loser' friends! Hope

Moving? Well - kinda already did that last week. But unpacking and moving old furniture out to the garage to make room for new furniture my mom bought me as a housewarming gift and some antique polish furniture given to me from step mom that was my grandmothers that my dad had. BUT - I've already moved.
