Friday
It's Friday... I have to take my son to occupational therapy this morning. He has some motor skills problems, but they're coming around nicely with the therapy. He also had tutoring last night. It was his first session. He seemed to like it.
Tonight I'm working for another lady at the shelter, so it will make for a long weekend, but atleast I can get caught up on my school work.
Been eating two protein bars a day, and got my proteins up to over 75 g this week. I got the prescription for the follow-up testing in a month. The dx was protein malnutrition. That wording scared me. I'm going to be better about my proteins.

Good morning everyone!
Whew! I am SO glad it's Friday! Jay is back at home. Although the surgeon said at 6 yesterday morning that he'd be released yesterday, the paperwork didn't get done and him be able to leave until around 7 last night. While I was there, the surgeon came in with some terrific news! The pathology reports were in and there was NO cancer in the lymph nodes!! Other than having regular blood work & chest x-rays to ensure that the cancer doesn't come back, Jay is in the clear! They are keeping an eye on a knot in his leg that developed either from nerve damage from the epidural or from the immobility from the surgery itself. If it's not gone by next Wednesday (when he gets the staples out), they'll do an MRI to try to determine what the issue is. Thank you everyone for all your prayers. Me & my family appreciate them very much.
I got an email from a good friend this morning letting me know that his wife, Rita, is in the hospital for chest pains. Her sugar was over 100 and she has some cardio blockage. It'd be appreciated if you all could say a little prayer for Tommy & Rita today...
Linda...I guess I've always been paranoid of getting enough protein in. I know that many people quit drinking proein drinks when they get further out, but I probably will for the rest of my life. Right now, I'm drinking 1 AchievOne (20g, 120 cal)) and 1 Worldwide Pure Protein Shake (35g, 160 cal) a day. I know that way that no matter what I can/cannot eat the rest of the day, I will have gotten in at least my minimum. BariatricEating will be my buddy for a long, long time! LOL! I am glad that you got to the bottom of what was causing you to be so tired. I hope you start feeling better soon!
You all have a terrific day today!

Sherri! I'm so glad to hear about Jay! We will continue to pray for him!
Well, today (in an hour) I go to see my PCP to try and find out why I get sick EVERY time I travel. It's been 2 weeks and I still have a plugged up ear, and my throat is still very sore.
I used up all my anti-biotic 3 days ago, and still fighting this infection. I dunno what's goin on. I'm headed to Florida on Monday, and I don't want to get sick again. It's agrivating when you don't know what's up with your own body!
It's snowing here today, and I'm tired of the cold! Looking forward to opening the campground, then I know the warmer weather is officially on the way
I'm having some friends over for a 'formal tea' tonight, it's just a time where I show my friends how much I appreciate having them in my life. It's a dressy affair, with tea and 'crumpits' and a lot of fun and laughs. I'm looking forward to it.
Everyone have a wonderful weekend and stay warm!
Hope

Ooooo..a formal tea...
Now..just so everyone knows.... when I put out the invite to the tub & tea, it is NOT the formal dressy type. It's bring your swimsuit & towel to get into the hot tub and relax. The tea is to warm you up on the inside and the tub on the out. No crumpits..but plenty to eat (all sugar-free and/or high protein). Shoot...the tea isn't even heated up with a tea pot!
I have one of those water dispensers that heats up the water. I do have a pretty good assortment of decaf teas and also have equal, splenda, and sweet&lo for your drinking pleasure...
I appreciate you all...but RARELY do I get all dressy! LOL!

Good morning everyone,
Just looking forward to the weekend here. I am still feeling really swamped at work, so will try to spend my day fighting out from under the stacks of paper that have been taking over my desk.
I finally bit the bullet and called to make an appt with my PCP. Not sure why I'm so scared of that part, but I am. Hopefully he'll be supportive. I see him on Monday.
Hope everyone has a lovely Friday and good upcoming weekend.
Kim

I really miss my hot tub. I haven't been in for a month and it will likely be another month and a half till I get my G-tube out. I also noticed as you lose weight (47 for me) you get chilled easier. I guess its my wifes revenge for all these years of me keeping the thermostat low. I'll get my tube out just in time to ride my Harley so I guess thats a decent give and take.
