Thursday morning...
Good morning everyone!
Wow! It has really been terrific reading your posts from yesterday! I'm gonna have to copy/paste these and include them in your angel files! Hmm..now I have a project for this weekend! LOL! I got out my calculator and I got: 1418 lbs lost so far!!! Amazing! I hope this encourages those who are pre-op because these surgeries definately will work provided we do what we're suppose to!
Jay should be discharged today. Just waiting for the nurses to get his paperwork together. I'm at work & told him to call me when it's ready. Last time, it took them 4 hours to do it! And you wonder why someone has to stay in recovery overnight because of no beds... He sounded like he was doing alot better today. In fact, he was on his way to go have a ciggarette...
I know. Smoking + Cancer = stupid things people do.
My angel...thank you for the ecards. It's been a rough week and they were what I needed last night.
You all have a fantastic day! Remember...tomorrow's Friday!

Good morning to all and hope everyone is having a great day. I am up and having a cup of coffee and then it is off for a shower and get me and my son ready for the dentist this morning. I would really like to be sleeping in this morning, the storms woke me up about 3 AM and then the dog about 7:30. I hope all is well.
Darrah still waiting to hear from you to see if there is anything that you really need for the baby. If not I found some really cute outfits but just can't make up my mind on which to get because they have so many cute ones. I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks
Kylie
Mel...
Aren't you still at Lilly's??? I'm in 130 at LTC-South. I've been in this department since 10/99 and I can see me retiring from here. It's just a terrific bunch of people. I see Vicki occationally. Maybe we should all meet for lunch sometime. Darrah...you'd be welcome to join us! Or anyone else that would like to as well.
My son's 24 and moved out when he turned 18 so yep, over the knee time has past. He'll make a comment about wanting a cigarette in front of his onocologist and not understand why the poor man looks at him like he landed here from another planet. I can understand though. I smoked for 32 years and quit 7-19-04. If it weren't for Dr. Gupta not doing surgery on smokers, I probably would have never quit. now that I have though, I'm determined to never start back!

What a noisy morning here in the airport area. Lots of thunder and lightening at 3am. My 60 lb lab was laying in my lap shivering for at least an hour. He's kind of a fraidy cat. I love thunderstorms, just not tornadoes, especially in this old house we have that has no basement. That's one of my requirements for a house when we move- a basement. I dont do crawl spaces- because I know im not the only thing in there crawling around! Eek!
Just do your best. Stay hydrated, walk, and get in all the protein that you can. It seems like in the early days, there was not enough time in the day to get all the protein in. Do all you can.
I have a some protein shake samples, a lot of crystal light that i can no longer stand, carnation instant breakfast, and some powdered milk. Let me know if you are interested. Us Morgan County Girls gotta stick together!!!
Good Afternoon! Sherri I am so glad Jay will get to come home. He has been in my thoughts!
I agree Darrah, what a loud morning! Poor Kiwi started shaking at 4 AM. I put her in our closet so she didn't have to see the lightning. What a sissy. Shortly after that I started to feel pretty puny. Looks like the flu bug hit me. I am starting to feel better besides the fact I am dehydrated. Just trying to sip away but it's hard when your stomach is mad.
Eric is home so it is nice. I have a to-do list for him. I have been working so much at the new job by the time I come home I just want to crash. I love it though but it's very exhausting. That's about all the exciting news. At least having a day off from work lets me catch up on the message board etc.
Have a great evening!!
Sam
