Finally able to sit and check the boards. I am doing fine...just been out of sorts for awhile. I did come home on Friday and was really feeling pretty good, but on Saturday was nausiated and had trouble getting my liquids in. Did a little better on Sunday but dehydration got the best of me and this morning I went back in to get a couple liters of fluid. This evening I am starting to feel more like myself. I am still a liitle tired, but I am able to get all my fluids in and working on adding everthing else. It is much more of a struggle than I had expected, but I think I have turned the corner. Linda

I had to have a couple of bags of fluid a week after I was home. I have trouble getting in all my fluid. That makes you tired, then you sleep, don't drink and the cycle continues. I've had IV's probably 4 times since surgery because of dehydration. I am working super hard on getting all my liquid in and at a year out I can say that now I'm doing a pretty good job of it, but it took awhile.

Hi Linda , Glad to hear you are feeling better! I know it is rough the first few days/weeks; just keep sipping. I kept a sippy cup next to me - my bed/chair/even in the potty so I'd remember to drink. Keep on trying, it does get better. You are on your way now girl- enjoy the journey! (((hugs))) Ellen

Welcome to being a LOSER! It ain't easy getting in all the fluids when you can only take in so little at a time. Just keep a bottle by your side at all times, and sip sip sip. You'll get the hang of it soon enough. Welcome and enjoy the rest of you NEW life! Hope
