I just got this email from Jennie's husband Tom and thought I would post it here to let you know how one of our members is doing. It also gives her hospital address for anyone who would like to drop a note of encourgement. Dan ********************************************************* Dear Friends and Family, Greetings again from St. Vincent Carmel, and once again we would like to thank you all for your thoughts, cards, notes of encouragement, and especially your prayers, as my dear Jennie continues to improve. For those of you who asked, to send Jennie mail while in the hospital, her address is: Jennie Biggs St. Vincent Carmel Hospital Bariatric Unit Room 265 13500 N. Meridian Carmel, IN 46032 The doctor decided to try her on a clear liquid diet, to see how she would tolerate it. She had one ounce of cherry Jello and one ounce of grape juice, and neither leaked into the drain on her abdomen. This is the first real food she has had in almost nine months. When the doctor came in this morning she was so encouraged that she advanced her diet to a baratric full liquid diet, whi*****ludes yogurt, pudding, cream soups, etc... She has done well with those today. They will keep an eye on things for the next few days and see how it goes. There is a possibility, if the nausea and pain are controlled and the diet tolerated, she may be able to return home in the next several days. We are cautiously optimistic and somewhat excited at the prospect of not having TPN or tube feeding, but just relying on what she takes by mouth to sustain her, and thereby begin the process of weight loss. Jennie's was visited by Marcia Bogue yesterday. Please join me as I continue to praise the Lord for what He has brought my dear Jennie through already, and I lift her up in prayer to our Lord for continued healing. Thank you all and may God bless you, Tom
