Wednesday!
Hi all-
I was just up checking my email and thought I would start a daily thread today! I have a bus day ahead! I see the cardiologist at 8: oo, then I thought I would pop in and check on Donna at St. F., then home to get fist round of kids off the bus. Then I need to go to Sam's club, and Kroger. Home to pick up more kids and then to the eye DR. for my son. Run to school and pick up a child coming home from a field trip, and back home to make dinner and feed the troops. My son Colby is 13 today and we need to have cake and open gifts, then it's off to the Pacers game. My husband was given 4 tickets in the third row, so even though we aren't huge sports fans we are going. I think that will make Colby's bday seem cool! So I guess I better get off and move my tooshy!!
I hope everyone has a great day and all the lady's that are having surgery today do great!
Blessings,
Carmen

Sounds like you have a busy day Carmen... have fun at the pacers game... hope you're wearing your bullet proof vests you know they're all thugs now!!!

Hi All! Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone's doing well. I am a little bummed. I am starting to lose hair
I was hoping it wouldn't happen, but alas, it is. I am taking biotin, I am pretty sure I need to be getting more protein, though. I will have to try to bump it up. I know it will grow back, from what people have said, but I'm not particularly happy about this development.
It's been pretty busy for me (but not as busy as Carmen sounds! Hehe!) Last night, I went weight lifting with my trainer. It was a good workout. Tonight, I am planning to go to the Y to exercise again, and I have an appointment at 8pm. I have to get done some homework in my classes too, in between there. Have to also make sure Mikey does his homework, and works on his multiplication flashcards. He's sure to not do it unless someone sits with him, but that's pretty normal for a 9 year-old with ADHD.

Good morning everyone!
Ever notice how the surgeries tend to go in waves on here? This is one of those busy weeks! Exciting, isn't it??? Of the birthday angels, I noticed that September is the busiest month overall. Just a cool little observation!
Carmen...enjoy the game...but don't wait on the Pacers to come out of the locker room after the game! I agree with Jessyca...we seem to have a bunch of thugs representing Indy when it comes to B-Ball. At least with football, we have one with a leadfoot. I didn't hear anything about DUI on the news, just that he was arrested for doing 80-something in a 55. Hmmmm...I would be the LAST person who could critisize someone for THAT. But...don't we want our players to be FAST? LOL! And too, they DO have the Nascar influence here! LOL! Okay, my brain is warped today.
Today is Wednesday which means Bill & I will be taking my MIL out for dinner tonight. I really am crazy about his mom. She's a very sweet woman and just how I hope to be when I'm in my 80's! I think we're going to go Mexican. I love shrimp fahita's! Last night, Bill & I went to an Oriental Buffet...mmmmm....crab legs!
I need some advise from those who have had plastics. We are wanting to go to Vegas when it is a little cooler there (went in July last year...too hot!). Bill suggested us going about 4-6 weeks after I've had my plastics. Will I feel like it then??? We do ALOT of walking when we are there typically. Will I be able to walk alot comfortably? Will I be able to help with the suitcases? I may bring my laptop that round since I have a WiFi card now...will I be able to lug it around the aiports? If I'm physically able to, that's terrific, but I don't want us to book our flights and find out that I can't do it. Oh...how do you get pictures that display your belly button rashes clear enough for the insurance? I tried with my digital and the flash made it too white and no flash, made it look like a dark cavern.
Did you run to your pcp every time to get it documented? Since I can tan again now (had to wait 30 days after Lasik), I look for the rash to clear up pretty quick. When I tan, it gets rid of the moisture which causes the rash.
Well...you all have a fantastic day today!
Sherri

Hi Sherri,
I haven't had ps, but I heard a talk by Dr Trisano (sp?). He talked like you would spend several weeks walking bent over because it takes time for the skin to relax after having so much done to it. (He was referring to an abdominoplasty, don't know what all you are planning to have done.) According to his description, they have to separate the skin from the muscle/fat, to pull it down and there is a lot of blood loss because there are so many capillaries, etc. I would definitely ask your plastic surgeon before making any reservations. I would guess you'd be better off waiting until Fall.
Good luck. BTW, I'll send you my order for pampered chef.
Cindy
Cindy,
What I am hearing is that the first 4 weeks is rough walking. I decided to go ahead and get more consults scheduled (the one I had with Dr. Turkle wasn't so hot). After I have them, then I'll decide on which on to go to and start working on the financial end of it. Bill is hoping for us to go the end of November...around the time of our anniversary (24th). I'm thinking that if I actually had the PS in September, I should be ok then for Vegas. Helping with the luggage & my laptop and actually feel like dealing with the airports are my biggest concerns. By then though, it should be +8weeks post-op so I'm hoping I would be moving around abit better then. I thought I would ask the surgeons about it during the consult and get their opinion too.
I was pouring over the PC magazine last night. I am SO hooked on that stuff!! I'm even trying to figure out what I want to stock the RV with so I'm never without my faves! lol

My week at work has been hectic but today I'll get a break. My hubby just got tickets for the IU game tonight to we are leaving early to make the trek to Bloomington. GO HOOSIERS!! We planned to watch on TV tonight but this will be much better. Hope it isn't to foggy tonight. We had freezing fog this morning. That was a new one for me. 1/16 of a mile visibility and glaze on the roads.. Lot of slide offs and wrecks this morning. Was it foggy around Indy?
Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a good day. My day has been ok but I have to go back to work tonight. We just bought a truck yesterday it is not a brand new one but it is very nice. It is an 02 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 off road extended cab. Any way when I talked to my husband on the phone this morning he said that he just about lost it this morning going around a curve and hit some ice. He said he only drove about 35 or so all the way to work because it was slick.
I will be up in Indy this weekend we are going to the boat show at the fair grounds. We go there every year. My husband wouldn't miss it for anything.
Well I hope you all have a great day and enjoy the weather since it is a little warmer than it has been
