Hello all, how are you doing? I'm fine. Yesterday had no work or school for the whole family. We have to go to Menards in my hubby's Durango and get towing ropes for my car. It was stuck. We also ended up towing out his sister's car, and the daycare lady's vehicle too. So that and doing taxes was how we spent most of our day off. My car got stuck again overnight, and so we're just in his vehicle today. Good thing we work across the street from one another. Hope everyone else is doing okay in this wintery weather! Linda Vicory

Well today my son Andy turns 18! I feel a little teary over this. I am not sure why, but I am! I had no problem when Our oldest daughter turned 18, it was just another bady. But for some reason I am having a hard time with this one. He is so sweet, gave me a big hug and said nothing has changed Mom! I just remember the day I met him, he was all elbows and knees (which I could see through the holes in his pants). A skinny 8 year old that needed a hair cut and a bath! He just walked right up to me and said, "So your gonna be my new Mom now?" Sniff Sniff! He has always been the sensitive one that wants a hug, I guess that's part of it. How do you let them be grown men and still be able to hug them each day? Well I just heard the timer on his cake so I best run and pull it out of the oven! Blessings, Carmen

Hey Carmen. My son is now 23 and he still hugs and kisses me and tell me he loves me. He is living at home (after having been gone for a year and half). He is a sensitive one, too. When he was in college here at Butler, he would come by my office just to see me, give me a kiss and a hug, and tell me he loved me. So, I think that even though they become grown men, they can still show their love for their moms. Heck, he even hugs his dad and tell him he loves him. That's just the way he is. I hope you always have the same wonderful relationship with your son. Donna

Carmen, I don't know about turning 18, but when my oldest son (Mikey) started Kindergarten and told the teacher he was "Mike", I cried that day. Lol, of course I was very emotional, I was almost 9 months preggers with my daughter too. She was born the next day. Linda Vicory
