I talked to Dr. Clark this morning

Thank you everyone for your support. I keep crying off and on, but I did talk to Dr. Clark. He was very apologetic and said he even listened to the mayor's report last night when he assured everyone that all the streets would be plowed by early morning. MMM, maybe I should have called the mayor instead, huh? Anyway, he was very sorry and said to call the office first thing in the morning and see if they can get me in Friday afternoon. The office is closed today, I guess they couldn't make it in either. So, I'm eating today and back on clear liquids tomorrow until I can talk to the office. He PROMISED me he would get me in Friday. I just know he doesn't actually do the scheduling and more than his schedule has to work, so I'm not sure if this will happen. The worst part is that both of my little boys' birthday parties are Saturday at Chuck E. Cheese. I knew I was only going to be able to be there and sit, but now I won't be there at all , And, get this, long story short...........my X's mother give me a hard time about my 6 yr old and school. She always thinks he behind and scoffed when I wanted to put them in Lilly day camp this summer (thinks he should be in school all summer) Well, I called my X this morning and told him that my Mom would have to leave on Sunday and since I wasn't having surgery til Friday now, could he and his Mom help out and keep the boys for a couple of days. He called her and called me back and said "She'll be home and she's happy to have the kids, but she doesnt' want to take them back and forth to school!!!!! " It's a 20min drive from Broad Ripple and that is too much to ask to help me when I will be recovering from surgery!!! I'm totally bummed. Believe it or not, the director of the day-care has offered to keep the kids for a couple of days. So, I can count on a friend/acquaintance but not their father or grandmother. BTW, they (X and his mother) cost me 32,000 in a custody battle during my divorce. !!! I'm pissed. Tania

YEA!!! I was hoping something like this would happen! Keep your fingers crossed for Friday. I know you hate to miss the Saturday birthday party, but think about how you will be on the next birthday! I had my kid in Lilly camp last year! She was in the 5/6 group.

well way to go the good dr called u himself.....hope he is out playing in the snow or playing video games keeping up with his skills...lol.. this is all about you.........so you let the kids go where you feel is best......and will attempt to get up to see u friday evening......

Tania, That's terrific! I'm glad things are going to work out. And yep, you'll miss Chuck E Cheese with the kids this year, but because of this decision, will be around to see many more of their birthdays than you would have without it! Sherri

I am so sorry your surgery was cancelled,;sniff: but hopefully by Friday you'll be walking the halls and this will be all over! Hang in there!!!! Thank goodness that your friends are there for you- mine are true "family" to me! (((hugs))) Ellen
