Yeah I'm finally g-tubeless!!!
I finally got my g-tube out yesterday. Thank God. I had that thing in for 7 weeks! I will get the IVC filter that was put in to catch blood clots, out on March 26. I am now down 51 pounds!!! I saw my sister, Marilynn, yesterday (some of you met her at the ornament exchange) and she could already tell a difference in my face and backside. Yeah!! I return to work next Thursday. Ready or not. I still have periods of time where I just have no energy left, but at least I only have to get through two days before I have the weekend to recover. Happy Friday to you all...enjoy the weekend. Karen
I still can't take my arthritis medicine, celebrex, so I am concerned going back to work because I really hurt and am so stiff. I have been taking quick release tylenol and that has helped slightly. I also still get tired easily. I am hoping that once I get on a regular schedule that will even itself out. I tend to stay up later than usual because I have napped during the day or slept too late in the morning. How are you doing? Better I hope. Hopefully this cold weather will break. I think we all need to take a walk in the sunshine. Karen
Karen,
Congrats! I know you have to be feeling so much better! What age students do you teach & what subject(s)? I know they'll all be thrilled to have you back. I would imagine you are going back with mixed feelings. I know I did with my foot surgeries..and especially this last one. Ah..but gotta earn that dollar. I love my job, don't get me wrong..but I really enjoyed being at home with Bill & getting a glimpse of how it is going to be when I can retire too.
Now...get you osome walking buddies to monitor those halls with!
Sherri
