searching for doctor!

Hello, I have recently moved back to Indiana and had my surgery on 10/10/06 in N. Carolina. I need to find a doctor in this area for follow up. I am living in Marion. Any suggestions on good surgeons? The one I had in N. Carolina was awesome, the whole team I had been dealing with was really great and informative. So any help here would be greatly appreciated! I really have no idea how the surgeons handle picking up new patients for follow ups that they didn't perform the surgery on. I can say that St. Vincent Bariatric center in Carmel is great. You may check with them to see if any of the surgeons there take refferals. There are a lot of very good Bari surgeons in Indy. My pick is Dr. Evanson ( of corse), he was my surgeon and he is very easy to talk to. I really don't know any of the other surgeons but most on here are very happy with the surgeons they had also. They are just a good group. So good luck in your search. There is also a Dr. Slone in Ft. Wayne that does Bari surgery if you would rather drive north. Welcome to Indiana.

Kelli, Welcome back to Indiana...and welcome to the IN board! It's great having another loser on here!! Given that you moved here from N. Carolina and not switching from one local surgeon to another, most of the local surgeons would probably be willing to take you. All you can do is call their offices. I don't know Marion at all so no advise as to which to go to that would be closest to you. You can always check out the different ones through here. Sherri
