Snow Day!

Looking forward to our first MAJOR chance of Major snow.. NOT!! Now that I am downtown I will have to deal with MAJOR weird people who don't know how to drive in it. It is bad enough turning out of the Government Center on dry streets.. OMG getting into West St traffic with snow will be a trip! If I walk out of my cubicle and strain my head just so I can see out the front doors and watch it fall... EVERYONE BE safe today!!!! I can't afford to loose you!! Linda

I agree with Linda, everyone be safe today... watch out for those people with SUV's that are "INVINCIBLE" and can drive through anything.... Take care... JEssyca

Good morning everyone! Well..at least this snow is suppose to be light and fluffy. I was concerned about Bill shoveling it (he hasn't gotten the ok from his cornea transplant to do stuff like that yet). Shoveling-wise though, it shouldn't be too bad. Driving-wise though...hmmmmm....since I have an SUV, it's the non-4 wheel drive people I look out for! If the roads are bad, I'll shift it into 4-wheel and am fine (slower, but safer!)...and meanwhile....I have these little compact cars fly around me! Guess that does mean I am invincible since I won't be the one in a ditch a mile up the road. I just have to be sure that when they are on their sliding way out, they don't take me with them! I have a foot check-up at 4:15. I think I'll take off a little early just to be sure I have pleanty of time. As is said, it's the other guy you gotta watch out for! You all have a warm & safe day! Unfortunately, idiots come in all shapes and sizes. It's not the vehicle it's who is behind the wheel. I've seen as many SUV's in the ditches up here as small cars. (My SIL got her 4 wheel drive stuck in 2 foot drift in the driveway and had to pulled out). I don't know how my grand prix will do. This is my first winter with it so I've not tested it on the little snow we've had, I just creep like an old lady (orman) and watch out for others.

I got the VERY last space heater at walmart this morning. THank GOD! Today is the first day I've even felt up to crawling to the computer in quite some time. Starting to really hit me that my last parent is gone Took my 3 hour gestational diabetes test yesterday BLECH! I have another baby dr appt on Friday, and we'll be scheduling my next ultrasound, which I suspect will be on the 23rd. Hopefully the little one has put some weight on. I've really been focusing on getting a boatload of calories to try to help her as much as I can. I never thought that making myself eat constantly would be so much WORK! You all be safe out there today, I'm staying right where I am... well, except maybe ill go back to bed!

It has been a beautiful day!!! I hope some of u got to enjoy its beauty. I have a park next door to my house and its been so cute watching the kids and their dogs coming to play in the snow. I love this snow. Ive been sitting by my windows jus****ching the snow fall and watching QVCs 15 hrs scrapbooking event. Im working on my wt loss scrapbook. What more could a girl ask for other than a spa day....LOL Yes Carmen we are still going to have our spa day this month. I'll be calling u today. Jan, Have u got in any scrapbooking today? Im watching Anna Griffin now!!! Hope u all enjoy the snow. Im going to get out in it a little later this evening and clean my car out and head out for dinner.

Ok I just have to post one more time today. Im so excited to report that I was able to shovel all my snow today. I am so grateful for this surgery. Last yr even if I had wanted to I could never have even shoveled all the snow I had today off of my porch without having a heart attach. About 5pm today I went out and cleaned off my porch...felt like I could at least start on my sidewalk....thinking it would kill me if I tried but I really wanted to try...since I love the snow and being out in it. Well I got the sidewalk done all the way out to the street...then cleaned off the area around the car so I could get it out... started the car to warm it up then cleaned off the entire car. I wasnt even out of breathe...WHO WOULD HAVE KNOWN...me doing something like that and living to tell about it...and still smiling. This has to be my biggest moment yet. Well I went and got some dinner for tonight and some for tomorrow incase I dont get back out. Well my new Lincoln sucks in the snow but I didnt even care. I was so excited that I having so much fun and I was in such good shape compared to this time last yr....THANK YOU LORD FOR MY SURGERY

It took me till 5:45 to get out of work......people are nuts in this weather!!!!! But Xavier loves the snow.....we have been out in it since we got home.........wow do I get cold now!!!!!!
