It's Monday
It's Monday, and I'm back at work this week. That's a relief to be feeling better and back in the swing of things. I ended up staying home all last week. Question for you all, who still have to take meds. Do you ever get to the point where you can take them all at once again, or do you always have to take them so far apart?

Good morning everyone!
It is definately too cold!!!! It's even cold here at my desk. It's been running ~65.3 degrees by my desk! Brrrr! If it gets too much colder in here, I just may need to go home early! We've been hearing some banging around from the floor above us so we're hoping that it is maintenance working on the system. In the meantime...I think I'll have my thermal jacket to the turtleneck, Colt's T-shirt, and hoodie I already have on! Now...where did I put my gloves?????
Stay warm folks! It was -3 with a windchill of -22 on my way in this morning.

Good morning. I haven't been on all weekend but it looks like I'm not the only one. Linda, for the last couple of months I've been taking all mine at once and it goes down OK. If I don't do it all a once I forget some. I take thyroid, previcid, biotin, Vit e. On sat I add a B1 and b12 sub lingual to that list. I keep my vitamins at work in my desk and remember to take them during the mroning when I open the drawer. I often forget those on the weekend when I'm home becasue I don't take them at the same time as the other stuff. Hope everyone had a good weekend and stayed warm.
Happy Monday, and MAN is it a cold one!!!
I'm thankfull that this time of year I can just stay at home and work from my desk. I don't even need to go outside (unless the dog has trouble getting back in, she's 15yrs old and the cold gets to her bones - we need to help her up the stairs some days).
How about that game yesterday! Go Colts!
I was the only on in my family voting for the Colts, and I won our poll!
I have issues with pills, the only one I take now is a tiny clarinex & occasionaly aleve, but I can't take them together. I did find chewable vitamins from Centrum at CVS, and chewable Calcium too, they stay down nicely
Stay warm today everyone!
Hope

Linda,
I take my synthroid (thyroid) when I first get up. I wait an hour before I eat anything (as per instructed). I wait an additional +3 hours to do my flintstones, etc. As per my endocrinologist, you have to wait at least 4 hours after taking the synthroid to take vitamins or the vitamin can make the synthroid less effective. I usually take all of them at the same time..but the 'pills', I swallow one or two (if they aren't big) at a time (just not spaced 20 minutes apart). I then do my calciums before I go to bed to ensure that they are at least 4 hours after the Flintstones since the two don't mix either (for max effectiveness).
I have noticed that capsules just aren't as effective for me as tablet or chewable forms.
Now...on the times I've had to take carafate, that REALLY screws the times up! LOL!

Hi Linda, glad to hear your spirtis are up some and you felt good enough to return to work. I can take my nexium and celexa (anti-depressant) at the same time. I have also started taking 2 tylenol quick dissolve then also. They are similar to capsules but have a coating on them. Because I am still on Coumadin, I can't restart my Celebrex for my arthritis. I had to find something to ease the stiffness and pain. The tylenol arthritis that I took two weeks before surgery is time-released, so I figured they would not help me any more. I wait to take my morning meds until at least 30 minutes after I eat breakfast. I also grab my 3 chewables then and chew them throughout the morning. I take my Coumadin about 8:30 each night and then sometime between 10;00 and 11:00 I do my chewable Citracal chews. They are sort of sweet and I cut each cube into 1/4. I bought both the carmel and the chocolate and do a mixture of both each night, I hope that helps. Hubby heard anything on the job yet? Have a great week girl. Karen
