IT'S FLIPPING COLD!!!
This is ridiculous!!! I knew we were going to have to pay for how mild it was.. I just felt it in my bones, and NOW i feel it EVERYWHERE!!!!
So I have come to terms with the surgery date change. While I still don't like it. I'm going to make it a positive. I'm going to start going to the gym like I should be doing AFTER surgery so I get used to it, plus the more muscle I have before the fast I burn calories after right? I'm going to start the South beath diet with my husband. While I know that it's not going to be fantastic and
I'm going to drop weight magically, it will get me in the habit of having certain foods restricted and I was reading the book last night, it's really QUITE similar to what I can eat after surgery... It's the diet my husband is going on after I have surgery so since it was moved we're going to start it now.
I haven't been on the boards for a couple of days but it looks like some people came through the ringer and back (Tammy) do you have a guardian angel!! God bless you girl... I don't know what Angie is going through but it is unusual for her tro not be on the boards or on instant messneger so I will say a prayer for her, I hope all is well with Gail as well i haven't seen her post in a while... hmmm...
Carmen, Tania, Linda V, Ellen, Jan, Melanie, Sherri, Dawn, Belle and everyone else who posted on my previous post about my surgery date changing. I said it in my reply and I say it again I am so thankful to have women like you behind me if I do have to get seperated.. I'm glad to know that I will have friends who stand behind me and will be there for me in the rough times So here's to wonder women!!!
God bless each and every one of you and keep you WARM!!!
And of course the most important of all GO COLTS!!!!!!
Jessyca

Hi Jessyca!!! Glad to see you back
. I agree, too freakin cold. I have my kids this weekend and I can already tell that it is going to be a tough weekend inside. I have thought about joining the Y and this may be the weekend to do it. They already have cabin fever and it's only Noon on Saturday......................it will be a long weekend. I'm sure the Y is going to be packed today.
I started my pre-op diet on Thursday. It's kind of tough. Amount of food is pretty restricted. I'm hungry and I have nothing stopping me except pure willpower. I'm kind of nervous about getting through the next 11 days. It says on my pre-op stuff that they can cancel the surgery if you are not compliant
You have a great support group here. I PM'd you earlier, hope you got it!!
Later,
Tania

Yep it's cold.. it was sunny when I walked into Meijers and blowing hard snow when I ame out!! Even though it didnt last long it was enough to chill my bones!! Herbal tea, here I come.
Sounds like you have a plan with the diet.. It isnt a diet it is a way of life and once you have the surgery and pounds start dropping you will be so happy!! Attitude is 90% of the struggle.. and it sounds like you are devloping a good one!!

Brrrrrrr is right! I was crazy
shopping at the crack of dawn in Shipshewana in my pajamas (multiple layers) 5am -10am (it's the first saturday of Feburary every year 'Pajama Sale', you don't get the sales prices unless you are wearing your pj's). 4 of us went together and got a bunch of neat stuff.
Anyway, today is one of those days where if you don't need togo out stay in.I would stay put if I didn't have to go to a wedding this afternoon
Have a nice saturday everyone!
Hope

The PJ sale is in the entire town of Shipshewana (well, most of the stores) I think they do it to boost winter sales since summer tourism is the best time for them. People come from all over to go to this, the hotels all get booked up. 2008 is on Feb 2. All (most) of the stores open at 5am and the 'sale' ends at 10am, so you gotta get there early. It's loads of fun and giggles! You go do all your shopping and some of the shops have free coffee and goodies, then around 9:30 or 10 the restaurants fill up cuz every stops to get their breakfast. The first year I just went (w/o PJ's) to see what was up and I couldn't get any of the sales because you have to wear you PJ's.
A few of our regular campers come and they get a hotel for the weekend.
Some stores only offfer 10%, and others as much as 50% off. Even the Amish participate, and all the staff are wearing PJ's too!
Hope

Hi Hope,
I'm not to far from you and I have to admit that I've never heard of the PJ thing in Shipshewanna! Sounds like fun, I love any excuse to wear pj's! Do you know if they opened that new hotel there w/ the water park? Is it an indoor or an outdoor park? I can't believe I'm thinking abou****er parks with how freaking cold it is!
