Bloomington Support Group Meeting - February 7th

My name is Sandy Hahn and I had my surgery in July of 2003 at St Vincent Carmel. Dr. Brenda Cacucci was my surgeon and was great!!! When I went in for my three year follow-up I talked to her about the lack of a support group for people who aren't in the Carmel area because of the distance. A couple of weeks later I got a call from St Vincents and they asked if I would be interested in facilitating a support group in Bloomington. WOW! I had never thought about it, but got pretty excited. After meeting with the St. V staff, and going through the pre-op class as a "refresher" we got the go ahead to start. In January we had our first meeting and had 19 people!!! I was so excited. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I will say, it was beyond my wildest expectation. We had good discussion from the pre- and post-ops and everyone kind of getting to know others. We would love to have everyone who is interested come and visit with us!!
