How Long Did It Take You To Get A Date?

Now that my appeal was approved, does anyone know how long it might take to get a date? My surgeon will be Dr. Cacucci. I called the office this morning and got voicemail for Heather which said once they get the approval, they need 7-10 days. Does it really take that long? I am getting impatient already! Linda

It varies. Mine was with Dr.Evanson and it took about a week after I got approved before they got me scheduled. Then they told me they were scheduling 3 months out so I told my employeer when to expect me to be off. When they called to give me the date it was only a month. So be prepared. It could start moving very fast from here on out. I know how long each day seems to drag just waiting to hear though. Congratulations

Hi Linda, My insurance approved me 3 weeks before Christmas so my "7-10 days" was up the week before Christmas. However, the scheduler left on vacation before calling me so had to wait till the week after Christmas to find out. You can get an "approximate" date and at least find out if you have been approved if you call your insurance company. That is what I did and they said the tentative date was 2/1 and it was actually 2/12, but at least I knew the approval had been given!
