LADIES>>>>>Important Baby Shower Change!!!!!!

We are moving the start time of the shower up to 11 AM on Saturday instead of 1 pm. This will give Darrah a little more time to enjoy herself before having to rush off to the airport. We hope this doesn't create too much of an inconvience for anyone, but what is a baby shower if the mommy to be has to leave early? Again, EVERYONE is welcome! It does not matter if you are pre- or post-op. It does not matter if this would be the first time for you to meet any of us. We are all family on here. There are several posts from the past few days on here about the shower. If you can't come, but would like to mail something to Darrah, contact me. If you can't come but would like to drop something off for me to bring with me for her, contact me. If you are coming, contact me. If you are bringing something (food-wise), contact me and let me know what. So far, I think the menu includes sf cake, shrimp ****tail, cheese & crackers, and water. I'm good at trying to supplement what is needed, but I don't plan on shopping Friday evening or cooking all Friday night so I need people to let me know something...ok? If in doubt of what to get for the little one, cash & gift certificates will work well (so Darrah can get the crib mattress and whatever else she'll need). There will be a basket set up for cards. I just wanted to thank Sherri & Angie for all the hard work they've put into to making this shower happen, and to everyone who made time to come, or has sent me well wishes one way or another. This board really is all the family I have now, and i'm so thankful that I've found this wonder bunch of people. Words just can't describe how thankful I am that God has brought all of us together, and that I've found such a great group of family to care about me. Thank you all.

Darrah, I am so sorry to hear of your dads passing! I know also that this a very emotional and stressful time, please be sure to take care of yourself and the little one! I know you plan on it, but things happen, and the next thing we know, we forgot to eat or drink that little extra bit of fluid! I will be thinking of you and hope that after all of this passes over the next week or so, that you can relax a little bit, and be ready to bring your little girl into the world! We will all be anxiously awaiting her arrival! I am sorry, I cannot make it Sat. to your shower, i have just started a new job, today, and am scheduled for both Sat and Sun. I did write down your addy, and will be sending something! By the way, have you decided on a name yet? Be safe in your travels, and know that we all will be thinking about you! Sherri - What a great idea! I was thinking that she was not going to have a whole lot of time at the shower before she needed to leave for the airport. I still am planning to come. I just heard on the weather that there is a chance of freezing rain on Friday night. If that is the case, my goose is cooked. Hopefully it will hit further north. I am planning to bring something that I can just buy and bring. Cheese cubes and pepperoni slices? Help, I am really new at this. Do you have any other kind of suggestion? My daughter is taking me to the store in the morning. I would also bring some frilly toothpicks. Karen
