This weekend, shower, Darrah
Cindi,
I just wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers as well. I just recently had my grandfather hit with a stroke and know personally the effects that this can have on ones family, although his was not fatal at the time, it has taken his mobility and speech and his ability to have the life that he once had, to be known as grandpa, dad, brother, son, husband, etc!
I am so sorry that you are having to make this decision, but please take care of yourself!

Cindi,
I'm sorry to hear about YOUR dad, too. Losing a parent is the hardest thing. I'm the only person around my age I know of that has no parents at all. At least with my dad we knew it was coming, it must have been a horrible shock for you. My mom died suddenly like that when I was 19 tho, so I had the medical power of attorney for my dad. It sucks to have to make those decisons, I know. But they really will be in a better place with no suffering, and I just keep trying to focus on the time that I was allowed with him.
You guys have a safe trip to Dallas and take care of yourself.
So sorry Cindi to hear about y our dad.. I lost mine 3 days after thanksgiving and even though I am 50 years old.. you are never to old to loose your daddy... (or your mommy either) still hurts.. Dad was in a nursing home and had been dying for over 10 years.. we had some laughs with him during the time though.. But one day the nursing home called and said by the way your dad died...SHOCK!!!
Best wishes and hopefully yopu will remember some wonderful daddy times you have had...
Linda
