I am incredibly sorry to hear this. I will certainly keep Jay and your family in my prayers. We have good friends whose 1 year old had testicular cancer, and thankfully has been cancer free for 5 years. I hope the outcome is just as good for Jay. Belle

Sherri, Jay is in my prayers. My step-son, Joe, had the same thing at that age. The good news is that when caught early, this is VERY curable. Joe is now healthy and happy as I am sure Jay will be soon. You are in my prayers also as I know this is devastating for you too. Annette

Oh Sherri, I am so sorry to hear that. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers. Sure seems like there's been a serious outbreak of bad news lately . Cancer runs in both my sides of the family too, and I know as a young person that's very scary. I sure hope that the best outcome possible comes to you and your family.

Oh Sherri, I was home sick yesterday and so, hadn't seen your post yet when I came buy last night. I'm so sorry your son is going through this. My Dad had bladder cancer and had many of the same issues. Even though he had already had kids, his generation measured their manhood by their virility. His cancer surgery was going to result in impotence so he was going to refuse treatment. That would have been a death sentence. My stepmother finally convinced him that he was more to her than just sex and he was able to live the rest of his life cancer free after surgery. They can do so much more now than even then. I will keep you and your son in my thoughts. Cindy

Cindy, Thank you. I think the hardest part of this, regardless of what they find Monday, is going to be my son's attitude about it. I think it's always tougher to bouce back from adversity if you don't try to keep a positive outlook. When it comes to testicular cancer, God gave doctors the knowledge of what to do...now, we are just praying that he gives Jay the peace of mind to accept whatever the doctors need to do. Jay has battled depression in the past and I'm concerned that this may bring it back. Sherri
