New to this

Hi, I'm new to this forum/chat thing but had my Lap Band 18 months ago. ??? Does any one else out there ever have one of those days where no matter what you put in it won't stay in. Yogurt, even water? Todays mine. I had another adjustment last week and today is an 'issue' for me. Also, does anyone else have issues with taking medications?

Hope, Welcome to the board! I had RNY, not lapband, so I can't give you any first hand knowledge. It sounds like though that you might have been a little bit overfilled. Contact your surgeon's office so they can decide if it needs adjusted some. With RNY, if we can't keep water or anything else down, it's usually a stricture (for us, it is often where the intestines are connected to the pouch)...so it makes sence for yours to also be a stricture. Since the only thing really that can be a stricture is your band...and...you just had a fill, it would be what I think I'd suspect. I'm sure some other lap-bander's will hop on here and give you some of that 1st hand advise....JoMac....yoo-hoo...this one's for you... Sherri

Thanks Sherri, I thought maybe overfill, but since I have been holding down food up till today doc didn't think so. Must be something I had yesterday still hasn't passed (my guess some celery that was in a soup or something). Just wondering if others have the same issues. Even after a yr it's still a learining process, it seems each time I have a fill I have to learn all over again. Mind, I'm by no means complaining, still the best thing I ever did!
